Geography Now! Youtube Channel plays with Samoan History quoting facts from Wikipedia?

 Geography Now - Youtuber

Youtube is filled with channels of fake Historians, some being seen as quite wild and crazy. A recent addition to that Youtube propagandist genre is a channel with a mixed crew who seems to be using the subject of "Geography", to snidely teach unresearched facts about numerous Asia Pacific nations online, including doing a video on the nation of Samoa.

According to the channel the main host is a person of 'Mexican-Spanish decent' who seems to avoid real research into his own heritage, supporting SPAIN quite proactively even though he is of a mixed Mexican background with curly hair and with apparent native fascial features. Point being, he seems to be someone who spreads 'shade and hate' on everyone else to hide his own corrupted nation's history. Polynesians online say he knows nothing about their homelands and nothing about his own history and should help fix his own national drug problems before reporting on other regions like Polynesia.

Polynesian comments on Geography Now

"WHY does this happen? Why do these Mexican-Native American, Afro-Spanish, Latino, Euro-American-Spanish, and wanna-be Spanish have an identity problem? because of propaganda like Geography NOW, that's why"

"If you know Euro-Spanish History, their people have been invaded more times than any people in Europe. Since no one knows what goes on halfway across the world, the Spanish used to tell people they conquered others in the Americas, when really what happened was The Catholic Missionaries gave free food and Spanish lessons, and their so called conquistadors were mercenaries for hire by rich Native figures"

"Mexico is a nation of FOOD GENIUS, I wish they would just stick to such refinement. Is this really the best time to be messing with people's History?"

"And they wonder why the USA wants to build a WALL"

"In the USA, Polynesians have witnessed Puerto Rican and Mexican-Spanish in Texas sell addicting drugs to ladies and then use that influence to have kids or become intimately involved with that family. The relationship begins around clubbing and city life, then after a female or even a person of the Gay community become addicted, its too late. It takes significant family involvement to separate the couple, or wait until something involving couple violence happens, which then usually involves several family members who might at times risks their legal freedom to fix the problem"

"Polynesians don't care what color you are, just keep your politics to yourself. You seem to think you have some knowledge into our history, when you don't even know your own history, because if you did, you surely wouldn't boast the way you do"

"Spain's History is one of slavery to the Romans and then mostly feudal age Imperial propaganda, true story"

"Maybe try and make the youtube channel more funny? Why do all that work to sound like you know what you're talking about, when you don't. It seems like a pretty big waste of time and talent"

A Polynesian Peace & Unity month for Samoans and Tongans: The Asia Pacific Month of May

 TokoUso Unity Movement beginning in
the 1990s which then moved online in 2008

Although the Month of May is actually Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the United States, another hopeful celebration is a "Peace and Unity month", focused purely on Samoans and Tongans. Elders of both Polynesian communities have attempted at bringing youth together in areas like The United States, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Australia, and for the most part the efforts have kept youth from joining gangs which frequently use misinformation as an excuse to street brawl.

Organization of the newer Peace and Unity month has yet to take hold, but is foreseen to connect with other movements like the #TOKOUSO online movement that was started in the late 1990s around DFW Texas and spreading to Utah.

"There are so many half Samoan-Tongans, Samoan-Chinese, Samoan-Maori, Samoan-Kiwi, Samoan-German, Samoan-American, Samoan-Hawaiian, Samoan-Fijian, Samoan-Japanese today and they often feel they have to choose a side. They need a monthly time to celebrate just being themselves. The month of May (Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander Heritage Month) might give some grace, a way for them to know that communities respect them"

Asia Pacific & Pacific Islander Heritage Month of May
May is officially by the United States Government, Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander American Heritage Month – A celebration of Asia Pacific and Pacific Islanders in the United States that encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands), Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia), and Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Western Samoa, Eastern Samoan or American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, Eastern Polynesia or French Polynesia and Rapa Nui)

Like most commemorative months, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month originated with Congress. In 1977 Reps. Frank Horton of New York introduced House Joint Resolution 540 to proclaim the first ten days in May as Pacific Asian American Heritage Week. In the same year, Senator Daniel Inouye introduced a similar resolution, Senate Joint Resolution 72. Neither of these resolutions passed, so in June 1978, Rep. Horton introduced House Joint Resolution 1007. This resolution proposed that the President should proclaim a week, which is to include the seventh and tenth of the month, during the first ten days in May of 1979 as ‘Asian Pacific American Heritage Week.’

This joint resolution was passed by the House, and then the Senate, and was signed by President Jimmy Carter on October 5, 1978 to become Public Law 95-419. This law amended the original language of the bill and directed the President to issue a proclamation for the “7 day period beginning on May 4, 1979 as ‘Asian Pacific American Heritage Week."

During the next decade, United States Presidents passed annual proclamations for Asian Pacific American Heritage Week until 1990 when Congress passed Public Law 101-283 which expanded the observance to an entire month for 1990. Then in 1992, Congress passed Public Law 102-450, which annually designated May as Asia Pacific & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month. God Bless America.

The Great Thor Heyerdahl: The Wrong Way Expedition - Kon Tiki fiction

Voyages attempted after the Kon Tiki Expedition
(¯`·._.··._.·´¯)

Mr. Thor Heyerdahl was born in the very small common town of Larvik Norway, a quiet slow place far in the north, a port town, where some how the most thrilling stories of South American Empires and a warrior Pacific sailing Polynesian people had reached, most likely through the many books and published journals by Explorers of the 1800's. Thor's actual journey into the Ancient South began first when he was sifting through the pages of a personally owned book collection by Bjarne Kroepelien, who also was not an academic, but was an alcohol and wine seller with a Meso-Native American interest. Norway's History being settled by a Viking culture had no ancient stone built wonders that marveled the world like in South America, Egypt, or Asia and Polynesia. And so Thor's fixation on Rapa Nui Polynesia (Statues of the Moa'i) and the Incas can be said to be one of deep envy. While in Europe, Mr. Thor was married and had several children suffering a divorce and he lived through the World Wars dug into his work. There is no record of him becoming active for his own nation of Norway.

"And thus begins his journey, with wild ideas from various published works and stories. A harmless infatuation that would become an obsession with no regard or responsibility to the actual cultures he and his work might bring upon others. It's one thing to write a book and have ideas, giving your perspective on theory, but it's the lengths at which Thor went, knowing it was all lies that made him in the future be seen as a fraud"

In the 194o's, Thor made claims that were so outlandish in theory that it was clear it's purpose was either politically motivated or racially motivated, or both, publicly declaring that a type of White Aryan type of race must have originally built the Step-Pyramid Empires of South America, possibly left it's ruins there after a defeat in War, and that the Incas Natives were merely uncivilized occupants of a White designed ancient city. According again to Mr. Thor the defeated White Gods then left South America and voyaged into the Polynesian region and that Polynesians were an ancient lost Caucasian race. Without being able to decipher or have translated accurately any South American languages he simply wrote his own new version of Ancient Peruvian History, made-up a tale using an unknown God who he called "Con-Tiki Viracocha", and then tried to spin an intricate web-of-lies around his claims. Being scolded at every angle in the academic community and shunned by some Peruvians themselves, the Kon Tiki Expedition into Polynesia was funded either to prove there might have been a percentage of truth, to sell books through a campaign, or to keep from being laughed at as an author.

"It would make more horse sense to start by finding out where Norwegians and Caucasians come from, before trying to claim knowing the origins of another people. This logic though never settled within Thor's character. He most likely never wanted people to wonder the origins of Caucasian people, which is around the Caucasus (Caspian Sea region including Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia) of Eurasia. The Caucasian people are an admixture of light brown, tanned, and fair skinned North Indians (including Muslims) and light brown and fair skinned West and Central Asians, a Northern Indus-Asian while Polynesians are a Southern Indus-Asian (Southeast Indus-Asian and East Asian).

Some Caucasus people have more Indus features with curly brown and dark brown hair, some people have more west and central Asiatic like features with straight hair. The pure-blooded White Race Theory is as fictional as a comic book. Thor was truly an author it seems on a quest, but maybe he was on the wrong quest"

The Caucasus Regions: Migration Flow and Origins

A Web of false Academics and Marketing
After claiming a first false White Peruvian History that a white Aryan race had built the pyramids and left them to homeless Indians, Thor Heyerdahl began supporting another false History of Navigation which included the regions of Polynesia, attempting to create a link or build up new corroborative research. If Thor could somehow connect a single dot with the Inca and Pacific cultures, disregarding any Linguistic or Archaeological evidence, he thought he might be able sway favor of his critics.

"It is possible that he knew very well what he was doing which was to use the power of aggressive repetition, to repeat his version of history over, and over, and over, until ears and eyes pay attention"

Kon Tiki's list of Modifications
In order to prove that a South American Balsa wood raft could withstand the Pacific waters a "Traditional Balsa Design" would first have to be used, to maintain that Peruvian culture had advanced in seafaring tech all those hundreds of years ago. A seafaring South American design was never found or claimed to be in use that could sail, or even had a sail. It was apparent that Native South American river rafts were not engineered to handle the wind pressure of a sail. Far too frail a vessel to withstand even a launch from the beach shores which is why Thor always launched from a bay area. A Polynesian academic of recent times pointed out that a Hawaiian surfboard from the 1800's is more well designed for the ocean than a traditional Balsa wood raft. Thor Heyerdahl then designed his own vessel, in effect by modifying the design to the degree of which he did, to fit his own theory, he himself was inadvertently the greatest proof that his own works were fanatical writings of racial fiction.
  • Frontal Wave-breaking Design: On Thor's sail vessel, the modified design has been fixed with a wave breaker in the front (sharply added support in the front). The job of the breaker is to cut through waves. A traditional Meso-Native American Balsa wood raft does not have this, and is cut with a flat-head or simply left unfixed. Thor Heyerdahl mounted the Kon Tiki with a breaker, changing the design, already proving that a Balsa Raft was not built for the open-seas and was not capable of launching off a beach.
  • Layered foundry: A Meso-Native American traditional Balsa wood raft does not have a layered foundry to keep afloat. It is a single layer of wood between the rower and the water. The Kon Tiki Vessel added several extra layers to keep afloat after other failed attempts.
  • Size using whole Tree trunks: It was pointed out quite often that the size of Thor's Kon Tiki vessel was a complete overhaul in design. Nothing, not even the size of the Kon Tiki was matching a Balsa wood raft. To survive at sea, the Kon Tiki used whole tree trucks.
  • Modern Ropes: The ropes used to secure the Kon Tiki were modern ropes. Even if modern ropes were allowed, the way they were used in his design, wrapped around a log (which is seen in traditional Balsa wood rafts) became a huge problem during his voyage.
  • Sailing Mast materials: In Polynesia, the Tapa cloth (canvas like material - thick paper) has quite a long history, not only used in ceremony dress, but was also the traditional Polynesian material used to produce the Sailing Mast that caught the wind. The very durable Tapa cloth was layered and sewn. The Kon Tiki used fabric from an unknown source.
Thor Heyerdahl's interpretation of a Balsa River raft with a built in
wave-breaker at the nose of the vessel. His design was far more
Polynesian than Native South American.

Community building a typical Native South American Balsa Wood River raft. These River rafts shown here are what a Balsa wood raft would look like without the many modifications Thor made to the design.

Flaws of Construction
During the Kon Tiki voyage, the Expedition crew was in danger for over half the time it set sail. It was found that Balsa wood trunks absorb water. The un-crafted wood in it's natural state becomes spongy. The Thor vessel's lashing itself (modern ropes), loses strength (being soaked in salt water) and while being tugged at by ocean currents.

False Reports of status to the Mainlands
Radio reports to mainlands were falsified to maintain the image of success. At the expense of the Kon Tiki crew, Thor Heyerdahl kept the voyaging problems secret for some time. There is only speculation how much more he kept from reports so it would all seem legitimate.

A dramatic author's life until the end
The legacy of Mr. Heyerdahl has yet to fade, his work is still used to sell a story to tourists, and continues to make true the saying "There's a sucker born every minute" by P.T. Barnum. All-in-all he was a very active man and lived a grand life of travel, not an angry or bitter person, one that can be respected for his tenacity. He visited quite a few other regions of the world looking for Step-Pyramid Empires, it would seem, trying to find the source of the ancient genius. He wrote 15 books before he passed away in Italy 2002.

The Polynesian Rapa Nui Genius Gene: The Chile Philistines forever in the shadows

Jacob Roggeveen analyzing a Sacred Moa'i statue 1700s

Since the 1700s, Rapa Nui has withstood some of the most horrendous Exhibitions, academic theories, News headlines, and Journal publishings, all who were in amazement of the Polynesian island culture and all jealous of its genius.
The mainland Chileans who remain today in the shadows of Rapa Nui, are still a 3rd world nation, after all their selling of natural resources, who manufacture nothing of importance, and who after all this time have never gained more popularity than their neighboring Polynesian nation. Chile has attempted desperately through the last 100 years to be some how connected to the Polynesian island's world renown artistic attractions. The country of Chile at times, depending on the administration in office, has in the past misinterpreted a simple Treaty of Friendship to claim Rapa Nui's cultural heritage.

"Well there's nothing in Chile, nothing, and online they even claim to own Rapa Nui as a UNESCO heritage site. The only art is the old Gothic Catholic buildings that no one likes, which makes the cities look like crazy religious cults, which is not far from the truth. Science and the Arts and real education are not a priority in Chile. The Spanish love only their propaganda and religious dogma"

"After all this time, Chile has never been more than a big mining town. There is no architectural marvel, its just a bunch of common suburban homes surrounding a mining industry"

"Chile has a Navy of what 5,000 active military, its a joke with small arms. Private yachts are bigger than their Naval vessels, yet they seem to try and flex in politics every now and then"

"As the World switches to new energy sources, Chile will certainly feel the hammer. They have internal political problems and cartels within their region"

Rapa Nui statues have been called one of the "Wonders of the World" and compared to statues in Ancient Egypt. Some Samoan community have recently taken an interest into Rapa Nui's politics since seeing headlines of conflict with an immigrant foreigner Raul Celis and Policeman Oscar Salazar. As the Asia Pacific is on the rise, the bad politics of Chile won't be tolerated for much longer and new political friends can be easily switched out for old ones.

Animal cruelty in Australia and The Southeast Asian Wolf: Asia Pacific Polynesia

Unregulated Hunting of Australian Wildlife
photo by ABC News: Giulio Saggin

The Australian war against the South Pacific Wolf has been a costly one, and a hateful one by desperate farmers like Don Sallway. The American Dingo or the Carolina Dog is a favorite Wolf-dog breed in the USA for home and hunting, and its a wonder why Australia hasn't progressed in their views since the 1800s from the countrified Australian Sheep-shaver mentality [1,2]. The Australian Government has allowed the image of the native Wolf-dog to be down played to a "wild menace", so to allow ranchers to not just defend against packs, but to actively hunt them down and kill entire dens. Sometimes the means in which the older generation ranchers hunt is extreme and harmful to the environmental ecosystem, and with Asia Pacific changes, these ole' timers with their old methods of handling things might be put under more strict policy. Research on the DNA of the South Pacific wolf breed shows it's not just any wolf breed, but the genetic founder of other Wolf-dogs in Asia and has ties to the Asian and Eurasian wolves. Some Australians are still using the old Boomer term of "Dingoes" while academics call them Southeast Asian wolves or even Polynesian wolves [1].

It's reported that there are many regions of Australia that are giving the wolf-dogs no Animal Rights Protection, calling it pest control, even though the wolf breed is of extremely valuable stock [(warning graphic content) 1, 2,3].

"Registered full breeds of a Shiba Inu Japanese Wolf-dog who has close genetic relations to the Southeast Asian and Polynesian Wolf, start selling a 2,000.00 USD and go to 3,500.00 USD. If Australia had a stronger sense of culture and a sharper appreciation for education, they too could have a unique and proud Australian Wolf-dog breed. The USA breeders have today the best in the World Wolf-Dog breeds on the market, with all the characteristics of a Timber Wolf, but with the family sense of an average Huskey" [Youtube link: American Wolf-Dog]

"If its going to be considered a dog, it should still be protected from Animal cruelty. This not the wild west, this is an Era of environmental responsibility, of Global Warming, and if need be, these old out-dated people must be held legally responsible for their actions. First world nations are working on reducing their carbon footprint, these Australian ranchers must also change with the times"

"The Australian sheep ranchers have spread so many myths and drunken hill-billy stories about the Dingo, that they really don't know what type of breed is safe and what breed is not"

A few new generation Australian ranchers had the right idea, who have a higher education level, and who see the land as a home and not as an enemy. They raised a good size pack of Native Wolf-dogs and now that pack helps protect their property and their family against any opposing wildlife in the bush.

Studies show that the Wolf-dog was brought 3000-4500 years ago and is from Southeast Asian-Polynesian seafarers and is a colonizer of the Australian environment. With one of the most hateful political campaigns against an animal still today, with fake information on the breed, brutal traps, and a long list of chemical compounds used to kill unregulated, its up to a better generation to step forward.

Pani and Pani go looking for Mr. Lava Lava: The hunt for Poly men with the full package

Pani & Pani episode by Fresh TV

There's an online hit from Fresh TV starring Pani and Pani that features their journey through the Pacific, looking for Mr. Lava Lava. So far viewers have followed them in the Cook islands who are now following them in the motherland of Samoa. It's fair to say that the island makes a good strong body, but in today's world a man needs to be both strong and sharp. Pani and Pani are looking to either find that guy, or trigger something to bring that personality to light.

Pani & Pani fans:

"Those ladies are pretty funny, reminds me of my aunties. The series of them going out looking for Mr.Lava Lava is a good move. Most of the community are very easy going, and it just seems like showing off if ya go apply for competition. Then to apply just to be judged makes no sense. The show going looking for them though is different lol. Good stuff, everyones happy"

"Theres one of the ladies who I like, one of the Pani ladies, she just has one of those faces lol"

"I have a lot of catching up to do, I haven't seen the ones from the Cook islands, but I did catch one where the contestants were attempting at talking to the Miss Samoa lady. She's beautiful but maybe a little tough on the maintenance."

"OMG Vito is freakin funny lol, love the show, cheers"

The Rock - Dwayne is the top-grossing actor of 2013 says Forbes

Even in the wake of the heavy hitting Marvel Films, Dwayne the Rock Johnson, came out on top to be "The top-grossing actor of 2013". The Marvel film "Iron Man 3", pushed Robert Downey Jr. to the top of the mountain, however, it was Roberts only movie made this year.

The Rock in 2013 scored with "Fast and the Furious 6", hit a fine run on "G.I. Joe Retaliation", and then still had two other smaller movies backing him up. The next year in 2014 is looking to highlight again more of "The Rock Accomplishmnts", as the much waited film "Hercules" arrives.

According to Forbes Magazine:
"Fast & Furious 6 helped place two other actors high on our list: Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. Diesel lands in fourth place with $887 million. Fast & Furious 6 earned $789 million at the box office worldwide. The third movie in his Riddick franchise hit theaters just a few months after. It only pulled in $98 million, but that was enough to put Diesel ahead of his co-star Walker on our list

Rounding out our top five is Sandra Bullock, one of only two women on our list (the other is Jennifer Lawrence in 10th place). Bullock had two big hits this year in two very different genres: Gravity was a tense thriller that will likely earn her another Oscar nomination, while The Heat was a cop comedy that kicked butt at the box office, bringing in $230 million globally."

Documentary on Maori Waka Taua for the Museum Volkenkunde Leiden

Theres a documentary on the creation of a Maori Waka Taua, which as viewers will learn has "significant meaning". In retrospect, the Maori Waka "Taua", is as important to a Maori, as a Samurai sword is to a Samurai. There is another type of Waka, but the Waka Taua is the most formal work made.

The tree used to make the Waka Taua in the documentary is at least 600-800 years old, and is made from an area where other brother trees grew, who were also made into Waka. Thinking how long that tree life in Aotearoa has grown there, it's amazing to think that they relatively have a "1000 year old destiny".

They did a great job in making the documentary and were able to get across most of the importance. I think it lacked showing how important the carvers were, their decades and decades of experience, and their reputation for being the greatest Waka makers in the nation. Artisans tend to just do impossible things and make it look so easy, but really those are genius skills passed on, where the average person can barely sketch in 2 dimensions, much less carve masterfully in 3 dimensions.

The significance of the Haka coming on the river banks to the Volkenkunde Museum wasn't discussed, but the viewer can see at least that they were in ceremony, passing on the Waka Taua.

Title of the video on youtube is: Full Māori Waka Taua documentary, Te Hono ki Aotearoa "Museum Volkenkunde Leiden"

After watching the video, seemed like the Museum had just adopted a Maori son [ownership though seems to stay with Maori company]. Seemed an appropriate piece to be given [to take care of] to a King or a Presidential collection. It was again a great cultural lesson, I enjoyed watching it.

◘ Health Interests

#1 tip Trust in Medical help has lowered since year 2000, especially when it comes to Cancer Treatments. Promises unkept for cures and breakthroughs in new research never applied, or with poor results, for over 40 years has raised skepticism. Following the most advanced tech nations instead of relying on easy access convenient hospitalization has been recommended for those looking for better medical help.

#1 tipA Community report says to "Beware of TAP WATER" [Tap Water can be Dangerous]. Outside the island, there are industrialized cities with real toxic issues. On the surface the City may have great rides, food, highways, and parks, but have under it all "toxic or environmental health issues" due to old Landfills and Water Infrastructure being ignored. If an area has a waste smell, the ground nearby could be a covered over Landfill where a town has expanded, buried the old one, and moved to a new location. Buying clean bottled water is an important choice, and will save a person's health.
◘ Community Interests

#1 tipPacific Islander American Community report on "Banking Overdraft Schemes" which resequence transactions on lower income accounts to make the accounts overdraft. In the Banking Scheme, transactions are being posted in an order that benefits the banking fees, and costing the customer possibly hundreds of dollars. The Banking Overdraft Schemes have been reported to still be attempted. Keep your money in a trusted Bank. Do not just sign up to any bank.

#1 tip Check out your local Library for community events. Also a Library can subscribe to Polynesian Newspapers and Magazines so that you and your kids can read them. Organizing a way to have books and media content (movies and news) able for your community to check out is important. Organize your local Library on how to get things started. Classes in public school are also being asked by local community for more Pacific languages and culture to be taught.
