The Samoan Slap Games: still viral after 2008 and 2011? Some are still playing in 2020

The name of the game is "The Samoan Slap Game", a viral Youtube trend played by Samoan youth, with the main objective to "not to get mad or laugh" and have some fun. The Youtube trend started in 2008 until 2011, either within the homelands of Samoa, or in Samoan community in Auckland New Zealand, and was popular enough that pacific communities in five surrounding nations joined in and began making their own slap videos.

How to play Samoan Slap Game

All players start with a gulp of water inside their mouth about half a mouth full. The players then face each other and take about 30 seconds to a minute to get their slapping game on focus. 

During the short focus period of starring at the opponent, one can make funny faces to make the other lose immediately, but might end up laughing themselves. Ugliest person is supposed to start the slapping first, or just start when the video-cam person says to begin. Next comes the slapping fun. Slapping combinations can be apart of the game. If you can come up with a combo play of slaps in a series, then you're more likely to make the other player laugh, or trigger his Samoan side to be more competitive. The game is funny to Samoans because slapping in the face is usually a fast trigger to a fight, but in this game, you'll lose, if you lose your cool. No punching - No tickling.

The viewers can not make the players laugh. Once the player opens their mouth and spits water from laughing or becoming mad, they're out. Most of the time it's played between 2 players but 3 is better. "This is probably a great thing for sports kids to play around with, because in American style Football and Rugby, if you can't keep your cool during the game, which can be very physically intense, then you're not going to get very far"

The Samoan Mega-slap Game

There is another Samoan slap game that became viral in 2008, popular name being called "Samoa Mega-slap", and is NOT to be confused with the other friendly slap game. The Samoan Mega-slap is when a person surprises a target with a huge "Mega-slap", and posts the reaction online.

Sometimes the Mega-slap target is playing games, or sleeping, or doing work, or playing on the internet. The point is to get the Mega-slap on video so people can have a laugh. There's a larger chance of someone getting really really mad in this game, but the game keeps going when the target gets 'revenge', posting the revenge slap online. It's strongly recommended that this Samoa Mega-slap game be played with people that know and love the other players, otherwise it could be taken the wrong way and could lead to other big problems. The Slap-Fight Championship - Youtube Channel

After some videos went viral in 2008-2011, someone took the playful 'kids game' to a strange and violent new level and began a Slap-Fight Championship, which to many people seems a bit extreme, but it's Youtube. The Slap-Fight Championship still seems to be going on in 2020. A young Hawaiian man is said to be a major player and continues to take on some serious heat from competitors, while giving more heat back. We didnt miss 4th of JULY: We were just too busy celebrating!

Readers were asking if T.M.BW. missed the 4th of JULY since there wasn't a post, but that was not the case. Our team celebrated the 4th of JULY with friends and family. Some celebrated having BBQ's, some spending it at the swimming pool getting tanned, some spent the day online and watched the Presidential speech while relaxing with a beer. 

"At least give a moment to think about the GOOD things that have been brought with the founding of this place. There are many many things to still work on, honored relationships with other nations and Native Tribes, we must become much more aware of our political actions. Make Peace, so we can grow as a peaceful nation."

HOBBS & SHAW: Fast and the Furious presents Official Trailers

Trailers of the HOBBS and SHAW characters from the "Fast and the Furious" Franchise have been HOT on the views within only the first month of releasing teasers. The up-coming movie seems to be just as action packed as all the rest of the Fast and the Furious movies, and fans of both the major Entertainment stars have been on Social Media posting reactions.

HOBBS (The Rock) takes on the villain BRIXTON, played by famous actor Idris Elba, who is accompanied and teamed with his nemesis SHAW, played by British action star Jason Statham. In theaters August 2nd 2019

The Origins of Rugby researched further by Pacific Sport Historians: A Forgotten History

The game of Rugby has in the past 180 years far out grown the few catholic teams who used to compete against each other in schoolyard grounds, becoming even more internationally beloved within the last 40 years of Asia Pacific Pacific Islander participation. The Asia Pacific nations, including Australia and Japan have become Rugby centers who compete aggressively with their Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, and Maori neighbors. Aotearoa New Zealand's All Blacks team has been the top international team in Rugby for over 30 years, with no end in sight, growing super crops of island players who Haka a pre-game welcome. In 1884, the first Aotearoa New Zealand Rugby team toured Australia winning all 9 matches.

With the "game play" of Rugby attracting fans who yell for their teams the "History play" has attracted sport historians, and although there is a belief the game originated in Western Europe, it has been well knocked that the game comes from North American regions.

It seems impossible really, the game of International Rugby coming from the Northern Americas when the national sport is American-rules Football, but we didn't say it came from the wagon loading Pioneers, Traders, or the Colonial American people, but Rugby does have a large percentage of it's origins from the Americas, a much greater percentage than from Britain or France. Historical studies have found that Native American clans played various sports from far reaching regions with the clans having some relations with one another, some with intermarriage, reaching from the US. Eastern regions to Canada. In fact, just about every popular national sport in the western-sphere comes from a fair selection of Native American invented games even basketball, which is a variation from a Native Meso-American game (South American Natives), kicking a ball on a stone paved court about 50-100 yards long into a decorated hoop who's popular name is called 'Aztec Ball' or 'Mayan Ball'. The modern game of Soccer is another extension or variation of the same Native Meso-American court game replacing the hoop goals with easier to target ground netted goals.

The beloved game of Rugby has it's origins from Native American games such as "Lacrosse" (A French Catholic name for the Native American game). The Northern Native American Lacrosse game created the famous Stand-off in modern sports. The stand-off is a starting point, a face-off between two or more people who push or combat for the ball to start the game or restart the game. The Lacrosse stand-off in Rugby is called the Scrum, a unique feature of the sport that evolved from one-on-one play to team scrumming.

The Meso-American stone courts still stand today and 

are extremely similar to modern indoor sporting courts. 

What all these games have in common with each other is "Catholic History". The Spanish Catholics connected to early Meso-America. The Spanish landed in the Americas in the year 1492. French Catholics connected to North America and Canada, who then connected with the Scottish-English. The game came with Euro-missionary Jesuit scholars back to European homelands around the 1600's, who relayed new world experiences. From there, the Catholics played in private schools. Britain became a unified Scottish-English nation in 1706 to fight off the royalist Catholic influences, however education remained in Great Britain from the New American frontier. The British Union Jack flag was sworn around 1801.

In the 1840's, Catholic founded Oxford University sport trends began circulating. It was around 1845 to early 1860's that the Americans heard of a sport called Rugby, which they thought was similar to Football, and had no clue, it too, was a game originating from the New World Americas.

"It wasn't just sports that came from the Native Americas, so many food trades came from the Americas even the potato that is now spread across Europe came from the Native Andes' of South America. The traditional English Breakfast today (which is not from England) is a Catholic meal of overseas trades consisting of eggs from a Southeast Asian chicken breed brought by the Catholics, baked beans are from South America, tomatoes are from South America, and the Italian-German Catholic sausage is an imported product. The modern British pig is not indigenous to the British isles (most native British pigs are endangered or extinct). There is other research into more British imports of foreign domesticated animals such as Dog breeds from Rome, brought by Captain William John Gill 1800s"

The English Catholic Breakfast

The traditional Native Americans still play without pads in Lacrosse and have a slimmer goal to score points. The physical side of the old game though may never return to it's former glory unless a newly athletic Native generation picks-up where the Ancestors left off. Canada's favorite game of Ice Hockey is an extended game from Native America, first played as Field Hockey in the grass then later played on ice courts. The Field Hockey version can be seen in the Blockbuster hit movie "The Last of the Mohicans".

Catholic Oxford University Rugby

On a website called rugbyhistory.com the origins of Rugby is credited to a single man, a William Webb Ellis, a man who went to Catholic Oxford University. The sports history though doesn't hold up, extremely simple, claiming he ran with a ball, and Rugby was magically born. The Rugby rules of England also started with an unlimited number, a familiar Native American rule of the game. 

In 1839, Arthur Pell claims to have made the "Cambridge Rules Rugby", simply another renaming of the game already in place with some added flair. Australia too has other several variants of the sport played in the AFL, founded first as the VFL or Victorian Football League.

New Zealand and NZ Samoan Medley: Westlake Girls and Boys Win 2013 Competition

One of the most beautiful things heard this year by a Samoan community leader in Euless Texas, was a performance he said he heard online, in the NZ Choir competition 2013, won by Westlake Girls and Boys in Auckland. The Choir who won with great praise, sang a traditional Samoan composition titled "Mauga Ole Atu Olo", by Ieti MJ Leu’u.

The Westlake Choir won the Platinum Prize at the New Zealand Choral Federation (NZCF) choir festival called "The Big Sing", who are reported to be no strangers to winning the top prize. The Choir performance has also been called a performance which has created a "Cultural Bridge". The young and talented choir is made up of mostly British and Australian NZ, Kiwi palagi, and Asian Pacific students, which makes the performance all the more meaningful to Samoans. The choir this year in 2013 has been given many respects by the local NZ Asia Pacific Samoan community for their performance, and hope that there will be more of this type of art in the future.

Other Aotearoa New Zealand secondary schools were reported to have performed Samoan and Maori songs, schools that included King’s College, Dilworth College, Maclean’s College and Wellington College.

Polynesians in the U.S. American states looking Vailima Beer: Might be hard to put on the grocery list

The Samoan Beer can be hard to find if you're in the States, but it's out there, a brand founded in 1978. On Youtube there's a couple of entertaining Samoan Vailima Beer commercials that can be found. The commercials have a Samoan Vailima Beer lover put in several places, loving his only his beer brand, and ending up in some situations involving the lack of, or the taking of his beer.

Universal Alien Mana, is it forever on our planet

Remember when fun glittered Internet sites had topic and things like Polynesian Alien Mana and Alien Architects with super mathematical skills?

There used to be tons of online sites with their own creative theory on Polynesian origins and the uses of Mana energy.

It was online once that Polynesians were builders of ancient cities that sunk far into the Moana, and also that the Mana energy was used to protect the region along with the people they loved.

Even still today, the legend of Mana energy is used in popular online video game plots where players collect Mana orbs, and gain power to level your character.

It is said that once a people emerged, descendeding from heaven, infused with Mana, who then infused that Mana into all things including sculptures. This practice was done so that the energy of the people would continue to live. Supposedly the Mana energy also dwells on earth making the creators spiritual soul immortal, until he or she is reborn once again as an infant on earth.
