Health advice for Samoan Tongan and Polynesian Americans to eat High Zinc and Potassium rich foods

Theres a lot of health information out there online on what to eat for people from the USA and other areas of the world hoping to
achieve their perfect body says a Pacific Islander Dietitian, but Polynesians should be mindful that they may need a diet more traditional with traditional recipes 💪. Hawaiian cooking has significantly advanced over the last 50 years being such a successful tourist destination and has a wide variety and mixture of Asia Pacific-Polynesian foods, and might be a great place to start if someone is looking to change things up.

"As a man from the Asia Pacific from Tafuna of Eastern Samoa (American Samoa) I've always been healthy but my body does feel lacking at times in winter in America, a place with a weather cycle very different from that in the islands. Gotta have the island food dipped in the coconut cream and that Ginger tea works wonders on blood pressure. Dont get lazy and buy the tea bags with ginger flavor and some Ginger seasoning, buy the Ginger Roots from the store, cut them in coins with boiled water, strain it, and add some sugar if you like. Thats the good stuff"

'I buy like pizza which tastes really good, Iam a Pizza and Bacon Burger lover but it's kinda like filling my body with the wrong gas'

'I've recently worked on a High Zinc Diet which happens to be all kinds of Seafood Meats...Fish, Crab legs, Shrimp, Lobster etc.. My body really needs things like Zincs and the Omegas in Seafoods, and also Potassium which is found in things like Taro, Bananas, Yams, Potatoes. It's really about putting the right things in my body for the long term, real health, meaning my body literally needs those foods for it to sustain my strength. If people are shaped by their environment and Samoans and Polynesians have been in the South Pacific for thousands and thousands of years, then of course, those foods are key for a healthy life in development and older ages'

There was something of a Polynesian health campaign in 2012 by Chris Vagai stating "Eat what your Ancestors ate" 👹, unfortunately the health campaign may have been contracted work and so it isn't found online very easily these days. The message was simply that what was great for island fathers and mothers, is good and essential for the next generations.

BREXIT and remembering that racism helped destroy the UK: PM Boris Johnson leaving but not soon enough

Remembering 2016 and the reasons for BREXIT and who
BREXIT was led by - Vice News report posted 2016

In 2016, western Populist rhetoric had spread to both the United Kingdom and the United States. Mainstream media and some social media channels from Liberal Tory supporters in Australia were constantly black-balling East Asian progress with fake market reports and of fake News infrastructure schemes. Muslims and Chinese were the first targeted by United Kingdom media which became the added 'fear factor' to boost the votes towards leaving the European Union, a European Union which does include Muslim nations such as Turkey, therefore them having access to other European Union member nations such as the UK. The leader of the UK Brexit Nigel Farage once stated that 'the EU Referendum is about nothing less than the safety and security of British women' while addressing the European Parliament, quoting a reporter and spreading more fearful reasons to justify the beginning of a new and more independent Great Britain. There has been consensus that there were existing issues with some groups entering the UK, but those problems were handled too irrationally and with broad reckless diplomacy. Promises were made year after year by the Tory Party and in 2020 Boris Johnson stated he would release BREXIT potential, saying that it was a wonderful opportunity to take back British Laws, it's borders, and it's Trade.

"The problem is the British want control, economic prosperity, and access to European Markets and trade without allowing European Nations to have access to the UK and with no say in law. These demands by the British are absurd considering they manufacture nothing, make most of their money through trade with foreign markets, and were in the first place not invited to the European Union. The majority of the UK people who voted for BREXIT Independence don't realize that it would put them in a state of economic seclusion, mostly its an educational problem of Imperial brainwashing who still attempt to portray themselves as rulers and Colonizers when they never were in the first place and all attempts overseas failed miserably. All this while blocking information on the rise of a new Asian Century"

With 2023 almost upon the United Kingdom, nothing but the worst economic predictions have come true with inflation and a possibility of hyperinflation gripping the country, partly due to significant disruptions in trade, and development has come to an almost halt causing a Housing Crisis. The British Fishing Industry and it's workers who supported BREXIT have been since 2021 facing financial ruin with time-scale difficulties, unable to export their product with no route to market as was promised, Paul Blewett said in 2021 to Channel 4 news "At the moment it feels like you're gambling with a lorry load (50,000 lbs)" meaning the uncertainty of selling what the Fishing Industry catches has not been resolved. There is also worry among UK citizens that there may not even be a United Kingdom in the future if a 2nd Scottish Referendum votes to leave in favor of the European Union which may occur in 2023.

Normalizing ties in the Asia Pacific: Canada, US., New Zealand, and China

Antony Blinken and Foreign Minister Wang Yi

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi called for a 'Normalization of political ties'. A report by CNN stated that US officials had said before the talks, that the meeting after the G20 was aimed at keeping the difficult US-China relationship stable and preventing it from veering inadvertently into an Asia Pacific conflict. In late June, US. National Security adviser Jake Sullivan has said US. President Joe Biden and China’s Xi were expected to meet again in the next few weeks.

Polynesian History and Asia Pacific History under attack 2012 by Western extremism - A Look back after over 10 years

A founder Thor Heyerdahl of white-washed propaganda in Polynesia, claiming they were a former white Native race from South America who conquered Meso-American Empires and sailed to Polynesia

Ever since Transnational Navigation has been claimed to be a quest of "Greater than most Men" a person with the explorer gene, a colonizer of the world, the Pacific Islander and Polynesian History has been under the scope of jealousy. In the 1990's much of the time the only thing that could be found on Polynesia were half-page summary resourced from an Encyclopedia or by a travel guide. Around the early 2000's, internet information sites like Wikipedia grew to popularity by giving the impression that truth and knowledge was the goal of it's website. However by 2005 Polynesian and other Asia Pacific Islander areas were being slandered about with their histories white-washed into a European vs Asia Pacific or regional combat scenario and the references used many a time were News articles and old racial western ethnographic studies, even some referencing Thor Heyerdahl in modern origin studies.

The War of Words 2012 as it was once called, spread far passed Wikipedia and Yahoo Answer and forum sites. Those ugly tactics using the power of repetition to make falsehoods a fact, race-baiting, fear mongering, fabrication of issues, controlling the narrative, misrepresentation, demonizing, and gaslighting, started showing in major News like FOX News, BBC, Reuters, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Sky News Australia, WION (British-Indian News), VOX, RNZ.co.nz, AL Jazeera, and Yahoo News, all propagating, provoking, and slandering to not only stay afloat in an online post-newspaper route world, but some more than others, to help fuel populist political movements and Coalition objectives.

"It reminds people of when religious academia competed with new Sciences in the 19th century, thats how bad it is now. Only the new religion is Politics. They give it for FREE, imagine that.. what in the west is free? Free History lesson, Free News, ... of course its free right, because its radical crazy dust wrapped in click-bait titles, comes with an extra wire to plug into your brain. And if that wasnt enough an algorithm will do a follow-up to make sure you too are a proud citizen of Nutzville and a happy brain washed zombie"

"How far passed wikipages has it gone? We're seeing selective study groups in various western University now, people in Anthropology and genetic studies"

"It started with lies in 2005-2010, then a few more lies, then some stitching and switching about history, then Media supported the lies and vice versa in 2012, then came open Political backing that sturred the whole mix together into one big decade long crap storm around 2016. This is all because of the need for money and power and the Asia Pacific is a major influence these days"

"One of the most embarrassing exhibitions was by racist Thor Heyerdahl who boasted to have well studied Polynesian cultures, without ever stepping foot on the beaches first. Who writes a History of a place they've never really been too? We've seen British white extremism in New Zealand attempt the exact same thing, writing and making documentary on The Red Headed Race of New Zealand while also rewriting events like The Maori Wars and The Treaty of Waitangi"

10 years later looking back on 2012
Looking back on 2012, most didnt know or see what was happening in the United States but as the years progressed, more campaigns arose from far-right and right-wing extremists on 3 major areas in the West. Those areas being the USA, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

The UK over the last 10 years has been through major upheaval with radical racism and political schemes targeting Immigration, China, the expansion of the EURO currency, and the influence of The European Union itself. By 2016, a Tory BREXIT was on the table with Borris Johnson (now former PM) and Nigel Farage at the helm blaming anyone and everyone (including Immigrants and Labor Party Socialism) for all of Uk's problems. BREXIT today has led to trade being stifled along with the UK economy while their neighbor the Republic of Ireland looks to have a much more promising future with the European Union.

In the USA, populist movements spread and right-wing extremesim moved inside the GOP under Trump 2016 (now former POTUS), VP Mike Pence, Majorie Taylor Green, Kari Lake, Lauren Bobert and others that led eventually to election fraud, attacks on Immigrants, Mass-shootings, escalation of Police violence, stolen classified documents, and an attempted coup during the January 6th attacks on the United States Capitol. Much of the last 10 years of instability and corruption in the USA has fueled the increased efforts by other nations for the need of de-dollarization with new applications to BRICS.

Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison (replaced by Labor Party Anthony Albanese) was accused of a self-coup who took over several political positions for which he was not appointed for and supported Anti-Immigration policies, Trade Wars against China, and wished Australia to violate long standing Non-proliferation agreements in the Asia Pacific with ASEAN Nations condemning proposals. The former PM Scott Morrison was also blamed for riots and protests in Australia from 2019-2021 who had implimented COVID-Lockdowns on citizens and denied Climate Change, using an 'El Nino' term to describe weather chaos. (Wikipedia has changed its El Nino wikipage to match media headlines) The Melanesian Solomon regions signed a military security pact with China over Morrison's actions in office (Papua and Vanuatu may follow).

List of Youtube Channels attacking Samoan History
Geography Now 'Geography Now! Samoa
La Mancha Media 'America's Forgotten Colonies

Many of the fake history youtube channels found are merely making content for views and subs and dont care really about whats being posted, most taking summary from wikipedia. However, some channels purposely do attack Samoa's image and historical standing. Much of the online historical propaganda on Samoa has come from British-New Zealanders who support the National Party (Loyalist political party to Britain)

Trudeau attacks peaceful Protesters in The Freedom Convoy over outdated Covid-19 Mandates and Passports: Canadians Trampled

USA Truckers have joined together with Canadian Truckers for several weeks to protest all Mandates and all future restrictions that may be imposed by the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Originally a massive stretch of 50 miles or more for a single protest created a Worldwide Anti-Mandate Movement. Media outlets have been slow to share information on the ongoing Freedom Convoy status because of possible extremism, for which there has been none.

Protesters since Day-1 in The Freedom Convoy of 2022 have been uploading on Youtube, showing all the progress and peaceful demonstration, and have also corrected Big Media who have attempted to purposely shame the movement which has backing from Canadian Political figures, Canadian Police, US. Americans, Native Americans, African Americans, and African Canadians.

Trudeau has been called "The World's most popular Fascist" after Emergency powers were called to literally break the backs of protesters, taking their money, their trucks, their business, and almost their lives in some cases where recently it was uploaded on social media that Canadian horses ridden by officers, trampled over several Canadian citizens. Concerned citizens from the U.S.A., Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, U.K., and many other people across Europe have joined in similar Protests and have spoken out against a Canadian Media Black-out of recent events.

Her Honorable Majesty Chomolungma never gave her consent to the name Mount Everest: She's a Goddess not a man

It was about a century ago when a few people boasted to others back home that they had measured the greatest Mountain in the world. The renown and Ancient Mountain's proper name is Chomolungma (Komo'lungma or Qomolungma) meaning something to the effect of "Goddess Mother of Mountains". Most people will admit that the title "Mount Everest" is a severe down grade, not to mention a gender change, from the title "Goddess Mother of Mountains", named so by Tibetan scholars. The British who claimed to have rediscovered the already discovered mountain named it unofficially after Sir George Everest aka. "The Mount Everest".

Technically also the highest mountain is not even Mount Everest, possibly one of the 14 hardest, but not the largest. Chimborazo which is located in the South Americas is technically the "Highest point on earth" by measurement. In Polynesia, Mountain Mana Kea or Mt. Mauna Kea in Hawaii is actually the "largest" in the world in mass, measured from the depths of the Moana Pacific Ocean. With that data in mind, the first people to climb the Largest Mountain in the world might have been the Hawaiians, or the Guamese where Mount. Lamlam sits at 37,820 ft. and is the "Tallest".

The only reason Great Chomolungma has repeatedly been through the claim frenzy over the last hundred years is because of the people trying to mount it's summit, while spamming in eng. speaking networks, and texts, the new name of "Mount Everest". This British use of a foreign name though has been seen as disrespectful to many Asians and Tibetans who without their permission and without the help of the great Nepal Sherpa people (professional climbers who guided even Sir George Everest on his first summit), no foreigner could in the past or today, reach the top and return back safely.

Governor Greg Abbott leads the country in No Covid-19 Mandates: The Texas people support him

Greg Abbott - TMBW's Man of the Year and
Governor of the State of Texas

An Executive order has been issued by Texas Governor Greg Abbott saying that no state entities or private companies can enforce Vaccine Mandates upon Texas residents who may for any reason object.

"Too many Texans have been sidelined from employment opportunities. Too many small business owners have struggled to pay their bills. This must end. It is now time to open Texas 100%"

“No entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine by any individual, including an employee or a consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19. I hereby suspend all relevant statutes to the extent necessary to enforce this prohibition”

Countries around the world including Israel, France, Italy, and Australia, are at this time in serious struggles where Covid-19 restrictions have turned into Covid-passports, and authorities there do not recognize natural immunities. If Texas had followed suit with other states and countries around the world, many people would have been out of work, or forced to comply with mandates they did not agree with or were skeptical of, Vaccine Mandates that are continuously questioned as being unamerican.

Legend Actor Marlon Brando an American and Polynesian Family man - Tetiaroa and Brando honored by community

An American of German and French descent became one of the most beloved actors in the world, a man of deep thought, a genius on screen and in his professional choices (also a director, producer, businessman and activist). He started his acting career in the 1940's on the New York stage of Broadway, moving in 1950 to the Big Screen, starring in "The Men" Directed by Fred Zinnemann. As a successful young actor, his fan following was intertwined with other youth influences of the times such as James Dean and Elvis Presley. After 1953 with the movies "Julius Caesar" and "The Wild One", Mr. Brando's following had the love of both the mature American audiences and it's wild free-spirited youth. His Hollywood relationships with two women were short and ended friendly.

In 1962, a movie was made that would change both Marlon Brando's life and of select people who lived in Tahiti. A film Directed by Lewis Milestone and Produced by Aaron Rosenberg "Mutiny on the Bounty" historically took place in the year 1789 on the open seas where the mission of the ship The Bounty was to sail from Britain's shores to Polynesia, and retrieve a plant (breadfruit) that could be of great health service.

Marlon Brando wrote "Realities surpassed even my fantasies about Tahiti, and I had some of the best times of my life making Mutiny on the Bounty... Every day as soon as the director said cut for the last time, I ripped off my British naval officer's uniform and dove off the ship into the bay to swim with the Tahitian extras working on the movie. Often we only did two or three shots a day which left me hours to enjoy their company, and I grew to love them for their love of life"

Editor "Interestingly enough, The King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley also was spell bound by Polynesia's Mana, and he considered Hawaii his home"

During the making of the film Marlon Brando fell in love with both Polynesia and to a most beautiful Tahitian actress Tarita Teriipaia who in the movie played his character's lover and who later won a Best supporting actress Golden Globe nomination. The film Mutiny on the Bounty with Brando was one of the first interracial kisses on screen and became an American classic. Marlon and Tarita were married and became a couple of good and hard fates.

Being a man who greatly enjoyed his peace and privacy, Marlon Brando settled down and made a private life founding a deep relationship with Polynesian community, obtaining a special terms lease by the local Polynesian authorities for development plans. A luxury Hotel was constructed by Brando and family and were eventually responsible for implementing environmentally safe energy in that area. Teihotu Brando (the son) who inherited his father's features has helped keep up management of the property. Eastern Polynesians of Tetiaroa still honor his name and maintain the atoll region. Elite actors and Libertarians such as President of the United States Barack Obama have too found themselves in Tetiaroa.

A Polynesian Peace & Unity month for Samoans and Tongans: The Asia Pacific Month of May

 TokoUso Unity Movement beginning in
the 1990s which then moved online in 2008

Although the Month of May is actually Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the United States, another hopeful celebration is a "Peace and Unity month", focused purely on Samoans and Tongans. Elders of both Polynesian communities have attempted at bringing youth together in areas like The United States, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Australia, and for the most part the efforts have kept youth from joining gangs which frequently use misinformation as an excuse to street brawl.

Organization of the newer Peace and Unity month has yet to take hold, but is foreseen to connect with other movements like the #TOKOUSO online movement that was started in the late 1990s around DFW Texas and spreading to Utah.

"There are so many half Samoan-Tongans, Samoan-Chinese, Samoan-Maori, Samoan-Kiwi, Samoan-German, Samoan-American, Samoan-Hawaiian, Samoan-Fijian, Samoan-Japanese today and they often feel they have to choose a side. They need a monthly time to celebrate just being themselves. The month of May (Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander Heritage Month) might give some grace, a way for them to know that communities respect them"

Asia Pacific & Pacific Islander Heritage Month of May
May is officially by the United States Government, Asia Pacific and Pacific Islander American Heritage Month – A celebration of Asia Pacific and Pacific Islanders in the United States that encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands), Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia), and Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Western Samoa, Eastern Samoan or American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, Eastern Polynesia or French Polynesia and Rapa Nui)

Like most commemorative months, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month originated with Congress. In 1977 Reps. Frank Horton of New York introduced House Joint Resolution 540 to proclaim the first ten days in May as Pacific Asian American Heritage Week. In the same year, Senator Daniel Inouye introduced a similar resolution, Senate Joint Resolution 72. Neither of these resolutions passed, so in June 1978, Rep. Horton introduced House Joint Resolution 1007. This resolution proposed that the President should proclaim a week, which is to include the seventh and tenth of the month, during the first ten days in May of 1979 as ‘Asian Pacific American Heritage Week.’

This joint resolution was passed by the House, and then the Senate, and was signed by President Jimmy Carter on October 5, 1978 to become Public Law 95-419. This law amended the original language of the bill and directed the President to issue a proclamation for the “7 day period beginning on May 4, 1979 as ‘Asian Pacific American Heritage Week."

During the next decade, United States Presidents passed annual proclamations for Asian Pacific American Heritage Week until 1990 when Congress passed Public Law 101-283 which expanded the observance to an entire month for 1990. Then in 1992, Congress passed Public Law 102-450, which annually designated May as Asia Pacific & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month. God Bless America.

The Legend James Thunder holds the World Record knockout on "first punch 1.5 seconds", at IMA Sports Arena, Flint, Michigan, U.S. against Crawford Grimsley. Although the test between Mr. James Thunder and Mr. Grimsley did not have the results from which the public foretold, many thinking it to be a close fight, Mr. Crawford Grimsley still remained a major contender for the U.S. World Heavy Weight title, and went the full 12 rounds against USA Heavy Weight Boxing Champion George Foreman.

The Media and Boxing Commentators afterwards began to wonder, if Mr. Crawford Grimsley was able to go 12 rounds with the Great George Foreman, all the way to where the judges made the final count and call, then what type of man was Mr. James Thunder, someone who was supposed to be close to retirement, a former Dinosaur with razor sharp teeth, his physical size had been bigger in his earlier career, someone who had much less support in the managing area, and someone who possibly only got into boxing for the 'Polynesian Island fun of it all'. Further interests into James Thunder died down quickly when his last matches seemed more purse motivated, and it was speculated that his Boxing adventure would soon end. James Thunder had a total of '28 knockout wins' by the end of his career, more than enough to confirm that his status as a World Record holder was not just a chance-hit, but was a true powerhouse heavyweight hitter who lived up to the hype.

"In Boxing, there is rarely a draw, so unfortunately Crawford seems like he's at a loss here, but no, he was a good fighter. He was a pro-broxer who went up against some the time's best, got hit, and still moved forward, winning 20 matches in a row after fighting George Foremen. Thank you Mr. Grimsley for the honor." Samoan writer

The Samoan Mr. James Thunder went on to become Boxing Trainer after his retirement and married a beautiful Native American woman. He continued to live a humble life "work hard, play harder kinda guy", one writer described him. The 1980s-1990s left little HD footage for the online viewer to see today, but there are still boxing tributes (Jimmy Thunder Boxing Tribute) able to be found on social media.

Samoan Player Rugby and Welsh Tom Williams fight in Tunnel - Wales cry for help from the USA

South China Morning Post - Samoa vs Wales
AT&T Stadium San Francisco

Tom Williams of the Welsh was allegedly caught fighting in the Tunnel with Samoan Rugby player Gordon Langkilde during the World Cups Sevens in San Francisco AT&T Park. The Welsh player and other Welsh members were on the losing end of the fight and helped by trainers and Rugby staff.

"It's a heated game out there and the Welsh are usually the cheats, always with a biased referee or a booth commentator. It's always the same story with the Welsh, start a fight, get beaten up, then try to control the narrative in the media. Everyday in Rugby is like the Olympics and the British are tired of losing to the Asia Pacific islanders and China. Things are getting a little too heated, keep it on the field"

"Everyone of course sticks up for their own teams, loving their own nation, but it seems that the Welsh British are crying for the US. Americans to protect them this time around. Its true, this should always try and stay professional as possible, but Rugby can and has been rough in the past, without getting legal about it"

"Read the UK news on the Samoan Rugby player who acted with Tom Williams, British media acting as though they're from a sport Disney Land, some angelic place with a holy reputation? America better get a clue, keep playing sports with the Brits and eventually they'll do it to you too after they lose a few more Rugby games. When the world starts seeing headlines like -USA dominates Britain again- over and over, that's when it starts. This type of thing often gets handled by Rugby, but it seems not so in this case and people are looking to file charges"

Reports of sports brawls in Britain are often off the Pacific overseas radar but are known so well within Europe that there's popular movies, one franchise being "Green Street 2005"which spawned "Green Street Hooligans 2" and "Green Street 3". There is no such movie franchise portraying brawling culture in Samoa because sport-fighting is for the better part an over competitive happen stance occurring during middle and High school years. A statement was made by World Rugby "The alleged behavior is not aligned with the sport's values and the excellent spirit in which this competition has been played by the 40 participating teams"The three Welsh Pro-Rugby players are currently in the hospital with broken bones in the faces and noses. The shock of one Samoan taking on three Pro-Rugby players is still with the Welsh team.

New Zealand Black Ferns (women's team) were crowned Rugby World Cup Sevens champions. Defending champions New Zealand produced a win against first-time finalists France 29-0 on Saturday, to become the first nation to win back-to-back Rugby World Cup Sevens titles.

Below is actual footage of British off-the-field sports behavior, a people with a history of conveniently looking the other way while pockets of neighborhood bar-fans (hooligans), fight for their local sports teams. Logging into Youtube might be required for viewing.

The Great Thor Heyerdahl: The Wrong Way Expedition - Kon Tiki fiction

Voyages attempted after the Kon Tiki Expedition
(¯`·._.··._.·´¯)

Mr. Thor Heyerdahl was born in the very small common town of Larvik Norway, a quiet slow place far in the north, a port town, where some how the most thrilling stories of South American Empires and a warrior Pacific sailing Polynesian people had reached, most likely through the many books and published journals by Explorers of the 1800's. Thor's actual journey into the Ancient South began first when he was sifting through the pages of a personally owned book collection by Bjarne Kroepelien, who also was not an academic, but was an alcohol and wine seller with a Meso-Native American interest. Norway's History being settled by a Viking culture had no ancient stone built wonders that marveled the world like in South America, Egypt, or Asia and Polynesia. And so Thor's fixation on Rapa Nui Polynesia (Statues of the Moa'i) and the Incas can be said to be one of deep envy. While in Europe, Mr. Thor was married and had several children suffering a divorce and he lived through the World Wars dug into his work. There is no record of him becoming active for his own nation of Norway.

"And thus begins his journey, with wild ideas from various published works and stories. A harmless infatuation that would become an obsession with no regard or responsibility to the actual cultures he and his work might bring upon others. It's one thing to write a book and have ideas, giving your perspective on theory, but it's the lengths at which Thor went, knowing it was all lies that made him in the future be seen as a fraud"

In the 194o's, Thor made claims that were so outlandish in theory that it was clear it's purpose was either politically motivated or racially motivated, or both, publicly declaring that a type of White Aryan type of race must have originally built the Step-Pyramid Empires of South America, possibly left it's ruins there after a defeat in War, and that the Incas Natives were merely uncivilized occupants of a White designed ancient city. According again to Mr. Thor the defeated White Gods then left South America and voyaged into the Polynesian region and that Polynesians were an ancient lost Caucasian race. Without being able to decipher or have translated accurately any South American languages he simply wrote his own new version of Ancient Peruvian History, made-up a tale using an unknown God who he called "Con-Tiki Viracocha", and then tried to spin an intricate web-of-lies around his claims. Being scolded at every angle in the academic community and shunned by some Peruvians themselves, the Kon Tiki Expedition into Polynesia was funded either to prove there might have been a percentage of truth, to sell books through a campaign, or to keep from being laughed at as an author.

"It would make more horse sense to start by finding out where Norwegians and Caucasians come from, before trying to claim knowing the origins of another people. This logic though never settled within Thor's character. He most likely never wanted people to wonder the origins of Caucasian people, which is around the Caucasus (Caspian Sea region including Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia) of Eurasia. The Caucasian people are an admixture of light brown, tanned, and fair skinned North Indians (including Muslims) and light brown and fair skinned West and Central Asians, a Northern Indus-Asian while Polynesians are a Southern Indus-Asian (Southeast Indus-Asian and East Asian).

Some Caucasus people have more Indus features with curly brown and dark brown hair, some people have more west and central Asiatic like features with straight hair. The pure-blooded White Race Theory is as fictional as a comic book. Thor was truly an author it seems on a quest, but maybe he was on the wrong quest"

The Caucasus Regions: Migration Flow and Origins

A Web of false Academics and Marketing
After claiming a first false White Peruvian History that a white Aryan race had built the pyramids and left them to homeless Indians, Thor Heyerdahl began supporting another false History of Navigation which included the regions of Polynesia, attempting to create a link or build up new corroborative research. If Thor could somehow connect a single dot with the Inca and Pacific cultures, disregarding any Linguistic or Archaeological evidence, he thought he might be able sway favor of his critics.

"It is possible that he knew very well what he was doing which was to use the power of aggressive repetition, to repeat his version of history over, and over, and over, until ears and eyes pay attention"

Kon Tiki's list of Modifications
In order to prove that a South American Balsa wood raft could withstand the Pacific waters a "Traditional Balsa Design" would first have to be used, to maintain that Peruvian culture had advanced in seafaring tech all those hundreds of years ago. A seafaring South American design was never found or claimed to be in use that could sail, or even had a sail. It was apparent that Native South American river rafts were not engineered to handle the wind pressure of a sail. Far too frail a vessel to withstand even a launch from the beach shores which is why Thor always launched from a bay area. A Polynesian academic of recent times pointed out that a Hawaiian surfboard from the 1800's is more well designed for the ocean than a traditional Balsa wood raft. Thor Heyerdahl then designed his own vessel, in effect by modifying the design to the degree of which he did, to fit his own theory, he himself was inadvertently the greatest proof that his own works were fanatical writings of racial fiction.
  • Frontal Wave-breaking Design: On Thor's sail vessel, the modified design has been fixed with a wave breaker in the front (sharply added support in the front). The job of the breaker is to cut through waves. A traditional Meso-Native American Balsa wood raft does not have this, and is cut with a flat-head or simply left unfixed. Thor Heyerdahl mounted the Kon Tiki with a breaker, changing the design, already proving that a Balsa Raft was not built for the open-seas and was not capable of launching off a beach.
  • Layered foundry: A Meso-Native American traditional Balsa wood raft does not have a layered foundry to keep afloat. It is a single layer of wood between the rower and the water. The Kon Tiki Vessel added several extra layers to keep afloat after other failed attempts.
  • Size using whole Tree trunks: It was pointed out quite often that the size of Thor's Kon Tiki vessel was a complete overhaul in design. Nothing, not even the size of the Kon Tiki was matching a Balsa wood raft. To survive at sea, the Kon Tiki used whole tree trucks.
  • Modern Ropes: The ropes used to secure the Kon Tiki were modern ropes. Even if modern ropes were allowed, the way they were used in his design, wrapped around a log (which is seen in traditional Balsa wood rafts) became a huge problem during his voyage.
  • Sailing Mast materials: In Polynesia, the Tapa cloth (canvas like material - thick paper) has quite a long history, not only used in ceremony dress, but was also the traditional Polynesian material used to produce the Sailing Mast that caught the wind. The very durable Tapa cloth was layered and sewn. The Kon Tiki used fabric from an unknown source.
Thor Heyerdahl's interpretation of a Balsa River raft with a built in
wave-breaker at the nose of the vessel. His design was far more
Polynesian than Native South American.

Community building a typical Native South American Balsa Wood River raft. These River rafts shown here are what a Balsa wood raft would look like without the many modifications Thor made to the design.

Flaws of Construction
During the Kon Tiki voyage, the Expedition crew was in danger for over half the time it set sail. It was found that Balsa wood trunks absorb water. The un-crafted wood in it's natural state becomes spongy. The Thor vessel's lashing itself (modern ropes), loses strength (being soaked in salt water) and while being tugged at by ocean currents.

False Reports of status to the Mainlands
Radio reports to mainlands were falsified to maintain the image of success. At the expense of the Kon Tiki crew, Thor Heyerdahl kept the voyaging problems secret for some time. There is only speculation how much more he kept from reports so it would all seem legitimate.

A dramatic author's life until the end
The legacy of Mr. Heyerdahl has yet to fade, his work is still used to sell a story to tourists, and continues to make true the saying "There's a sucker born every minute" by P.T. Barnum. All-in-all he was a very active man and lived a grand life of travel, not an angry or bitter person, one that can be respected for his tenacity. He visited quite a few other regions of the world looking for Step-Pyramid Empires, it would seem, trying to find the source of the ancient genius. He wrote 15 books before he passed away in Italy 2002.

American Samoa is not a "Colony" of the United States - Discussion on History and Status

The History Poker Blog: Discussion

In a discussion between Pacific islander students, one in college from New Zealand and the other from American Samoa going to UTA, the American Samoan History came up in discussions, which has also been discussed in higher official conferences over the Trust Regional or Protectorate status of the area.

The American Samoan student contacted TMBW to research and give more information to the public on politics in American Samoa, or at least clear up a few small details since there seems to be some floating misinformation out there. Below is an article over the UN to take American Samoa off the UN Colonies List, however, Eastern Samoa (American Samoa) doesn't have or ever had, a Colony status, and politically American Samoa is often referred to simple as having a "special relationship" with The United States.

Testimony at United Nations Decolonization Committee
by Fili Sagapolutele

PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (The Samoa News, August 18, 2016) – During a Senate committee hearing this week some senators insisted that using the word “colony” does not apply at all when its used to label American Samoa which has a special relationship with the United States and that the term "colony” should be removed from any United Nations documents.

As Samoa News reported several times, Tapa’au attended the seminar to observe whether or not there are decolonization strategies worth considering by the trust region or territory after Attorney General Talauega Eleasalo Ale presented American Samoa’s official position at last year’s Caribbean seminar. At the Senate committee hearing, Tapa’au informed Senators that he attended the Pacific seminar to find out issues that would be beneficial to American Samoa.

On June 22nd, the UN committee passed a resolution on the question of American Samoa with regard to the implementation on the granting of Independence to colonial countries and peoples.

Tapa’au explained that the UN committee must understand American Samoa’s special political status with the United States of America and it’s differences compared to other Trust Territories. Tuaolo then explained more on the specific characteristics, Tapa’au then said that to his understanding, that there are more issues than just the protection of land, natural resources, and culture. The History as to the development of the region played a large role in the beginning relationships.

Editor "Eastern Samoa signed a Treaty and agreement in 1839 supervised the second time over by Samoan Council and The President of the United States Ulysses S. Grant. Also details have been worked on overtime. These types of political matters are not well known to the wider public. On average, citizens of the west can say they know of only 3 major events in history, other than that, even their own heritage or origins in most cases is a mystery. They can not be expected to understand Samoan or Asia Pacific or Pacific Islander History"

Another concern of Tuaolo and other Senators is the UN committee’s action that would affect the Senate, who’s 18-members are traditional leaders selected by County leaders. Tapa’au emphasized that nothing the UN committee resolution or other issues deals with the US. Senate.

Tuaolo asked if Tapa’au told the UN committee that American Samoa is not a colony and that additionally the UN committee should be told not to discuss American Samoa anymore and to “Leave us alone”.

And while he didn’t deliver a speech at the Pacific seminar this year Tapa’au said officials there had asked him several times about the regions political future and the response was always the same. Senator Magalei Logovi’i says the word “colony” continues to come up over the years and that this has also been the case in the previous administrations of former Governors Tauese P.F. Sunia and Togiola Tulafono. Magalei, and they asked if there is a way to make sure that this continued annoyance does not come up again in the future. Tapa’au responded that he posed the same question to the UN committee and he is waiting for an official reply.

He told Senators the US State Department’s answer to the UN committee when it comes to American Samoa is that this is an "Internal issue of the US government and not under the UN committee’ purview". Upon arrival at the Pacific seminar Tapa’au said he went looking for a US Government representative but the USA no longer sends representation to these types of meetings because to them the matter is closed, and the USA agrees that American Samoa is “an internal issue” when it comes to it's political status.

Former Committee Meeting

The US State Department in a Nov. 2, 2006 letter, responding to then Congressman Faleomavaega Eni’s request for the federal government’s official position on American Samoa before the UN committee, states in part that the status of the insular areas, including American Samoa, regarding their political relationship with the Federal Government was an "Internal United States issue", and not one that came under the purview of the Special Committee.

Additionally, the Special Committee had no authority or right to alter in any way the relationship between Samoa and the United States, and those Trust-territories, and no right to Mandate or engage the United States in negotiations of their political status.

◘ Health Interests

#1 tip Trust in Medical help has lowered since year 2000, especially when it comes to Cancer Treatments. Promises unkept for cures and breakthroughs in new research never applied, or with poor results, for over 40 years has raised skepticism. Following the most advanced tech nations instead of relying on easy access convenient hospitalization has been recommended for those looking for better medical help.

#1 tipA Community report says to "Beware of TAP WATER" [Tap Water can be Dangerous]. Outside the island, there are industrialized cities with real toxic issues. On the surface the City may have great rides, food, highways, and parks, but have under it all "toxic or environmental health issues" due to old Landfills and Water Infrastructure being ignored. If an area has a waste smell, the ground nearby could be a covered over Landfill where a town has expanded, buried the old one, and moved to a new location. Buying clean bottled water is an important choice, and will save a person's health.
◘ Community Interests

#1 tipPacific Islander American Community report on "Banking Overdraft Schemes" which resequence transactions on lower income accounts to make the accounts overdraft. In the Banking Scheme, transactions are being posted in an order that benefits the banking fees, and costing the customer possibly hundreds of dollars. The Banking Overdraft Schemes have been reported to still be attempted. Keep your money in a trusted Bank. Do not just sign up to any bank.

#1 tip Check out your local Library for community events. Also a Library can subscribe to Polynesian Newspapers and Magazines so that you and your kids can read them. Organizing a way to have books and media content (movies and news) able for your community to check out is important. Organize your local Library on how to get things started. Classes in public school are also being asked by local community for more Pacific languages and culture to be taught.
