Rugby World Cup Japan: Tattoos of Polynesia will show proud!

Samoan Rugby player Alesana Tuilagi

An article on ESPN says Rugby players might want to hide their tattoos during the World Rugby Cup, which will be held in Japan, simply because the Yakuza mafia are the only ones in Japan who wear Tattoos. World Rugby has been criticized again for over stepping their bounds when it comes to cultural relations giving advice where it's not wanted.

In Samoa, Tonga, and Maori nations, tattoos are very much part of their histories. It is a custom found in many Pacific islander Southeast Asian nations and found in ancient East Asia and Central Asia. Some misinformation on Yakuza Tattoo origins was recently put forth, as well as poor information on Yakuza social standing among the Japanese people. The Yakuza history alone is older than most western nations and far older than World Rugby, and need not be toyed with by click-bait news and article hooks says one writer.

"Samoans and Tongans and Maori have been in Japan for quite some time. This is not the first time the Japanese have met Polynesians. One of the most famous K-1 Fights were 2 Samoan Legends in Japan (Legends Mark Hunt and Ray Sefo), and there are Sumo Wrestlers with Samoan heritage. Japan also plays with Aotearoa New Zealand and Samoa in international Rugby year-round, so what makes this one Rugby World Cup any different than any other Rugby event ever hosted, nothing at all. If you're going to play Rugby, get used to Tattoos because the greatest Rugby teams in the World are in Polynesia and the Asia Pacific regions."

Actor Brad Pitt in Japanese commercial with
Samoan-Tongan Sumo legend

A reporter was reminded of a Japanese commercial in the 1990s with the famous legendary actor Brad Pitt who served the Polynesian Samoan-Tongan Fiamalu Penitani in Japan his meals, and escorted the respected Sumo-wrestler through his daily routines. Fiamalu was born in Eastern Samoa (American Samoa). The Sumo athletes retain their standing in Japan as the epitome of physical greatness and are still cultural icons. The commercial was showing the importance of Sumo, featuring a very Kawaii (cute) Brad Pitt and his Sumo boss. The commercial series was made by Soft Bank and can be seen on Youtube. Musashimaru Kōyō (his Sumo name), achieved the highest rank any foreigner ever attained in Japan, the rank of Yokozuna 1999.

"The Japanese are a mature people and are in no need of being cuddled like children. They have a large Disney World for that, and Tokyo is 10x larger than London, and equals New York City. They are an up-to-date people who lead the way in many fields of study and research"

"So what about the Rugby Fans? They should hide their tattoos too while they sit in the stands? This makes no sense at all. Leave it to World Rugby to react before thinking"

"Every national flag will be represented, should they hide their flags too? An international match is all about seeing another nation play against your nation. The fans will be the ones interacting with one another, not the Rugby players"

"The Rugby players will be busy playing Rugby. How about we let the Rugby players focus on Rugby instead of cosmetics"

A Polynesian community leader says many things from Japan are enjoyed today worldwide and their imagination in anime and movie theatre has been widely admired. As a neighboring Pacific Island nation we hope to have an understanding of them, and them of us, and hiding cultural aspects of ourselves is something we will not do.

Samoan Kiwi player Sonny Bill Williams gets named Rugby League Player of the Year 2013: Recap of Sonny Bill Williams

Rugby player Sonny Bill Williams who was named greatest Rugby league player for the year 2013, which was announced in Manchester, winning over Australian Greg Inglis and Scotland’s Danny Brough. What some people may not know is that Sonny Bill Williams is also a trail-blazing New Zealand Boxing champion.

According to the guardian, Williams stated: "That was definitely by far the best part of the night for me," Williams said of his team-mates' gesture. I can't remember the last time I cried but I was a little bit teary up there just seeing the brothers get up and show that respect. All I want is respect. I felt like after the way I left the game I lost a lot of respect but this year the way I tried to carry myself, just tried to get across the real me, I felt like I earned a lot of respect"

The Fall of Wales Rugby 'The Great Upset' to Pacific Island Teams 2012: Samoa wins 19-26

Some people are questioning if this is just "Rugby Karma" coming back onto the Welsh for some events that happened last time during the Rugby World Cup involving the rise of Pacific Island teams. This year could be it for Wales in the IRB rankings, losing to "The Giant Killers" Samoa, and the number one ranked Rugby team in the world The All Blacks of Aotearoa New Zealand.

The last test match from the Pacific will be with Australia, who will most likely at this time, take Wales down. Welsh Rugby hasn't really been the best when it comes to sportsmanship, and Australia will not be kind to the score board says many a fan. The Welsh Rugby nation might fall into a lingering sports depression after being slapped with a reality check from the Pacific Island teams, spurring seasons of new Welsh analysis.

There have been discussions online what the reality check is exactly. The floating question is "Was Wales ever that good really, or did they just play at rank in their own personal Rugby circles".

Recently a New Zealander Kiwi TV presenter Jed Thian has called out to the Welsh to beat Australia with the utmost enthusiasm. This last match will most likely attract the World Rugby fans to the stands, as to be witness to "The Fall of Northern Hemisphere Rugby" by another Pacific team.

Wales defeated by Samoa in what is being called 'The Great Upset of 2012' : Pacific Island teams on the radar

The pressure leading up to the November game between Samoa vs Wales attracted 40,000 Rugby fans in the stands. It was a Rugby game not to be missed, and one to keep record of. The Manu Samoa team came out exactly how Wales had feared. With just one minute and a few seconds [01:03] into the match, Samoa scored, testing the nerve of Wales.

Wales with 15 minutes into the game, then scored with a kick in. Then again with another kick at the 28th minute. The game was a bit "foots-on" from Wales, trying to catch up, however the crucial points were still put on the board.

Samoa making a mistake, allowed Wales an interception which turned into a victory for Welsh side. The advantage gave the Welsh team the lead, ending the first half.

Six minutes into the second half, Samoa was seen literally flying on the board, with George Pisi tipping over into the try zone hands and head first.

The remainder of the match was a tug-n-pull from both sides, with Samoa and Wales giving it their best. The game ended with Samoa on top to win 26 -19.

Samoa beats Canada 42-12 to shut-it 2012

At the start of the game on November 10th - 2012, the game-commentators said Canada's method of playing against Pacific Island Teams was "Win the game early, and score the points later".

Well that was a great strategy, only Canada wasn't able to score the actual points. Three [3] minutes into the game, the analysis of how Samoa was going to play was still incredibly simplistic. At 15 minutes in vs Canada, Samoa had 10 points on the board. The game would continue with Samoa dominating until the very end of the game, where they then obviously became gracious.

10:10min - Samoa Big Hit

15:55min - Samoa 10 - Canada 0
16:00min - Samoa 15 - Canada 0
21:08min - Samoa 20 - Canada 0
22:17min - Samoa 22 - Canada 0
35:00min - Samoa 22 - Canada 0
40:00min - Samoa 22 - Canada 0

Half Time-

41:40min - Samoa 27 - Canada 0
43:00min - Samoa 29 - Canada 0
50:00min - Samoa 29 - Canada 0

50:54min - Samoa kicks from Mid-field [50 yards] out to score

53:31min - Samoa 32 - Canada 0
54:50min - Samoa 35 - Canada 0
61:00min - Samoa 35 - Canada 0
67:06min - Samoa 40 - Canada 0
69:00min - Samoa 42 - Canada 0
70:12min - Samoa 42 - Canada 5
76:22min - Samoa 42 - Canada 12

The kick that scored from "Mid-field" [50 yards out] by Samoa was just jaw-dropping, and for awhile all that was being spoken about was "New Analysis" of how to attain an advantage against Samoa.

If there is one important thing to say though about the game between "Samoa vs Canada", the Canadians kept it professional and upheld the quality of the game the entire match, with hats-off to the referee.

Alesana Tuilagi moves Rugby from England to Japan: What will the Legend do next?

Alesana Tuilagi "The Beast and Gentle Giant"

The Rugby Champion and Legend Alesana Tuilagi who pushed England's Rugby rankings forward is now heading back to the Moana Pacific, but this time, in Japan. Alesana Tuilagi has cast a well earned shadow with the Leicester Tigers since 2004, and his brother Manu Tuilagi has been making his own highlights in England since he joined.

There is no doubt the "public scene" will be much different from England, but the environmental adjustments in Japan will most likely be an adventure for the Rugby Star. Alesana Tuilagi has stated that leaving his brother and the area "will be a sad moment for him", who seems to quite like his time in England.

Japanese Rugby pointed out that Tuilagi has one of the highest Rugby profiles in the World at this time, and possibly one of the highest in Rugby History, and that they are ready to welcome him. Tuilagi has been named the greatest line breaker in Europe, giving him the title by fans "The Samoan Bulldozer" and "The Beast".

All Blacks take win over Ireland last match 60-0 in 2012 Rugby

Rugby Legend Julian Savea performing the Haka

The Irish team appeared promising at the start of the series of games, each time with focused stares into the All Blacks Haka, but as the game progressed, the New Zealand All Blacks team shown more their skills. Ireland was determined to end a 107 year All Blacks streak, but Aotearoa NZ - All Blacks still managed winning all "3 out of 3 games" in the 2012 test matches.

Julian Savea took down any question of the Rugby rumors of his future career as another Islander heavy weight in Professional Rugby, compared recently to a possible former All Blacks player Jonah Lomu. Julian Savea scored the first 3 trys with Rugby star Sonny B. Williams in full support and getting most of the All Blacks first 30 points in the first test match 2012.

Julian Savea's debut in his first test match with Ireland, brought his game from Samoa, with this first series of test match games being a hint of great things to come. Savea is now the first person in Rugby History to score 3 trys in a single test match against the respected Ireland team. Ireland had no illusions going into the game and was ready to take on the Pacific team with all their skills, just didn't happen this test of matches.

Samoa wins the IRB Pacific Nations Cup 2012

On Sunday 17th, June in the first 12 minutes of the Pacific Nations Cup final match, Japan had a consistent offense against Samoa taking a lead up to 0-6 in the first half. Then after the first 30 minutes in, Japan leaded 0-16 with Samoa in under 15 minutes later, starting to flex their muscles and was only 2 points behind, with Kahn Fotuali'i scoring the first try and making headway for the second.

Samoa then was in the lead by 1 pt. after team ramming the ball down Japan's middle and making a try and with Ki Anufe following through with a kick in. The score then 17-16 in favor of Samoa, at the 43rd minute, 2nd half.

Logovi'i Mulipola of Manu Samoa had several full contact heavy hits, with one sending him carded aside for part of the 1st half, and the other at the 49th minute into the game. Alafoti Fa'osaliva at the 44th minute held up 5 of Japan's offense. At the 45th minute, Samoa went intense forcing the Japan forward pack to play their physical game.

Japan's well paced game countered the growing Samoa physical intensity with shifting the ball to the edges, and still jabbing the ball off and on inside. At an hour and 15 minutes in, Samoa mauled forward, instantly taking yards and bringing in the focus again to the forwarding strength. Then after patiently taking Japan's attention, Samoa flew a quick slip and pass. Faatiga Peapea-Lemalu of Samoa brought it in after the tactical passing making a try and bringing up the lead to 22-16 vs Japan.

Final score finishes at 27-26 with Ki Anufe accurately scoring Samoa's final points and winning against the defending champions of Japan. Manu Samoa left with the IRB Pacific Nations Cup 2012 in hand, an even more impressive run of games from their 2010 Pacific Nations Cup win.

Rugby: Samoa and Fiji wins again

There was a strong game between the Samoan and Tongan teams as always, with both sides sporting off their champion Rugby talents. Samoa came out on top though with a spectacular win 20-18 for the opening games of the Pacific Nations Cup. Champion team Fiji also beat the great Japan team as well in the opening matches.

Pacific players and Pacific Rugby Clubs from the Moana, who have in the last ten years taken Rugby more seriously, have proven their weight in new world Rugby.

In 2000-2008 analyst reports, and online news articles were published online and offline, of the new age of Pacific - Asia Pacific players.

There has never been such a fuss over new recruits, with most who are invested in Rugby, saying that the media controversy is a great thing, and that this is what Rugby really needed to hit more international markets.

Before the last ten years when it was mostly European players, there was no debate though with weight divisions, in fact, the way Rugby worked before the Samoans and other Polynesians came, was that the biggest and most talented played, because well, "This is Rugby".

Even younger Junior Rugby leagues have to now decide on weight divisions, to help even out the Polynesian stampedes of super rugby talents.

In a campaign for the new Rugby divisions, it was promoted that the new standards were for "safety" reasons, when according to Rugby coaches, playing against stronger opponents is what tones Rugby skills.

Manu Samoa wins against All Blacks USA Sevens Cup Las Vegas 2012

The last time Samoa won the USA Sevens Cup was just in 2010. This is the second USA Sevens Cup won in only 3 years, with the rugby scene looking very much the same. Most fans were cheering again seeing the other Moana Pacific Nations at it's finals.

Alafoti Faosiliva would have to be the MVP of the final game with a heart pounding Try being plowed through in the last efforts.

"Samoa deserved it, they came at us. We had a chance to win it, but it's the team that makes the least errors that wins" Aotearoa New Zealand All Blacks Capt. D.J. Forbes said

The host USA team announced a commitment to a stronger Rugby game in the near future, which will undoubtedly make a better USA RUGBY SEVENS Tournament.

Fiji was again a top competitor with South Africa and Australia lining up.

About a week ago from today was the ending matches. Next in the Rugby ring is the Hong Kong Sevens, where the teams will battle it up again.

Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu Twitter most famous rugby twitter online possible

Samoan Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu

The most famous online "Rugby Twitter" today might be Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu's Twitter space, this due to South Pacific media reports in favor and not in favor of the players Twitter actions during the World Rugby Cup of 2011.

It was a public mess-up when Referee Nigel Owens was spotted by Rugby fans, on numerous calls, said to be favoring the opposite team. Even main-stream media brushed at the possibility of the Welsh Referee Owens being assigned to the position, to that specific game and juncture, inside the World Rugby Cup 2011 to hinder Pacific Islander teams in participation.

The statements by Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu were looking to feed even more media backfire along with the IRB disciplinary measures toward Eliota, which seemed to just make fans more angry at the IRB process. Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu took on the Rugby panel almost single handed while the World Rugby governing body threatened the regular "paper threat" of suspension. The Samoan Rugby player Mr. Eliota is also a graduated Lawyer in New Zealand.

"Polynesian Rugby Nations dont have to put up with World Rugby rules like many think they do. Polynesian Rugby could be more popular with other Asia Pacific Nations and completely ignore the Northern western-sphere. China is building super sports stadiums at an enormous rate, stadiums that make anything in Europe look like old Roman ruin battlegrounds. The Asia Pacific is the future"

Rugby fans are questioning when is this circus show going to get back on the road to fair calls, fair management, and more professional commentators during Rugby matches. Most of the complaints against the IRB are about them recently favoring nations during important World tournaments, an unsportsman like reaction after Pacific Islander teams started taking over Rugby with Samoan Big-hits.

South Africa 13-5 with worst referee Nigel Owens vs Samoa - World Cup 2011: accused of cheating by Samoa Prime Minister

Nigel Owens accused of cheating by Samoa Prime Minister

The Samoan Prime Minister announced his amazement at the lengths the assigned referee Nigel Owens would go to, to help the South African team win against the world class team of Samoa. Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi and the rest of the vast Pacific Rugby fans were disgusted at the calls made by the Welshman refereeing in what seemed to be his own personal World Cup Championship.

It was reported that Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu even later discussed the fowl calls on Twitter to get feedback from other Rugby fans and from other sportsmen. It was discovered by main stream media later on that David Pickering was Chairman of the IRB committee, which last April assigned referees to World Cup matches, who is also responsible for Nigel Owens being planted to sour the Samoan World Cup match.

A representative of the nation of Samoa also released a statement on 12 decision calls by Nigel Owens including a late red card on Paul Williams for striking.

Other issues came into light about Northern Hemisphere teams doping (mostly in Wales) which also brought to debate that the three teams Scotland, England, and Wales represent the same nation, the nation of the United Kingdom, and even though they were once separate nations, they are not officially separate nations today. The IRB was put on the spot, that this whole time in each World Rugby Tournament, those teams have been taking advantage of the use of "three" World Rugby spaces, with other Rugby nations only having "one" spot at the World Rugby Cup. Those teams are also registered as separate nations on the IRB Rugby rankings.

An example given to the IRB was that it would be like if the USA registered all 50 states at the same World Cup event, even though they're all apart of the same nation, and then the USA would have 50 chances to win a top spot at the tournaments and rankings.

Rewatching summer matches like Samoa wins over Wallabies 2011

One of the favorited highlights watching the rerun clips was Alesana Tuilagi scoring the first try in the very first 10 minutes into the game. As Samoa's number 12 reaches down to flute the ball past players and into the arms of The Big Man Tuilagi, the crowds roar on their feet, watching the Samoan bulldozer jog fast the ball inside the Wallabies score zone.

These are much different times than when all the great Polynesian players were desperately recruited to overseas teams. Even though there are so many Moana players on teams like the Wallabies.

At the 29th minute Paul Williams charged up deflecting the ball at the kick, claiming the score as he floated on the ball with his fellow mates. The score was a picture perfect Rugby moment with large islander smiles spotlighted by the mass media camera personnel.

The big "hit" highlights were just addictingly devastating to watch as Manu Samoa shouldered up with Wallabies in professional playing charisma. Wallabies battered back on the scrum and may later in the World Cup campaigns play a well bought tactical trump. It's only the start of it all, only Ruby time in the Moana will tell.

Samoa wins the World Sevens Rugby Title 2010

Samoa wins the IRB World Sevens Rugby Title 2010 with Captain Lolo Lui leading the way in the vital minutes of the very intense final game. Samoa beat Australia with an over whelming score of 44 to 14, a one sided result no rugby fan expected. The win took them toward a Final match Series.

Samoa's win against England 15 to 12 in an earlier match was said to be a great struggle for both sides, and an on the end of your seat game. All the way to the end fans cheered and sang rugby chants in support. Samoa's brothers in Aonew zealand, The All Blacks rugby team, have been on the ball successfully for last 2 years in lead roles for the World Sevens Rugby Title, but this year, it belongs to Samoa. It's rumored the many Samoans that play on the All Blacks have given great respect to the efforts of the Manu Samoan team. This year Samoa has took the World Sevens IRB Title of 2010, and also the USA Las Vegas Sevens 2010 where again teams from all over the world competed.

The inspiring Mana that drove the Manu Samoan team is said to have partly come from recent events in Samoa. Activities in community organization on the island have been on going after a devastating Tsunami hit early in the year 2010. The catastrophe was quickly handled using traditional old fashioned customs that kept neighbors together. Personal losses though heal over time.

Samoa like always, prevailed through with Mana.

#1 tip Trust in Medical help has lowered since year 2000, especially when it comes to Cancer Treatments. Promises unkept for cures and breakthroughs in new research never applied, or with poor results, for over 40 years has raised skepticism. Following the most advanced tech nations instead of relying on easy access convenient hospitalization has been recommended for those looking for better medical help.

#1 tipA Community report says to "Beware of TAP WATER" [Tap Water can be Dangerous]. Outside the island, there are industrialized cities with real toxic issues. On the surface the City may have great rides, food, highways, and parks, but have under it all "toxic or environmental health issues" due to old Landfills and Water Infrastructure being ignored. If an area has a waste smell, the ground nearby could be a covered over Landfill where a town has expanded, buried the old one, and moved to a new location. Buying clean bottled water is an important choice, and will save a person's health.
◘ Community Interests

#1 tipPacific Islander American Community report on "Banking Overdraft Schemes" which resequence transactions on lower income accounts to make the accounts overdraft. In the Banking Scheme, transactions are being posted in an order that benefits the banking fees, and costing the customer possibly hundreds of dollars. The Banking Overdraft Schemes have been reported to still be attempted. Keep your money in a trusted Bank. Do not just sign up to any bank.

#1 tip Check out your local Library for community events. Also a Library can subscribe to Polynesian Newspapers and Magazines so that you and your kids can read them. Organizing a way to have books and media content (movies and news) able for your community to check out is important. Organize your local Library on how to get things started. Classes in public school are also being asked by local community for more Pacific languages and culture to be taught.
