Legend Actor Marlon Brando an American and Polynesian Family man - Tetiaroa and Brando honored by community

An American of German and French descent became one of the most beloved actors in the world, a man of deep thought, a genius on screen and in his professional choices (also a director, producer, businessman and activist). He started his acting career in the 1940's on the New York stage of Broadway, moving in 1950 to the Big Screen, starring in "The Men" Directed by Fred Zinnemann. As a successful young actor, his fan following was intertwined with other youth influences of the times such as James Dean and Elvis Presley. After 1953 with the movies "Julius Caesar" and "The Wild One", Mr. Brando's following had the love of both the mature American audiences and it's wild free-spirited youth. His Hollywood relationships with two women were short and ended friendly.

In 1962, a movie was made that would change both Marlon Brando's life and of select people who lived in Tahiti. A film Directed by Lewis Milestone and Produced by Aaron Rosenberg "Mutiny on the Bounty" historically took place in the year 1789 on the open seas where the mission of the ship The Bounty was to sail from Britain's shores to Polynesia, and retrieve a plant (breadfruit) that could be of great health service.

Marlon Brando wrote "Realities surpassed even my fantasies about Tahiti, and I had some of the best times of my life making Mutiny on the Bounty... Every day as soon as the director said cut for the last time, I ripped off my British naval officer's uniform and dove off the ship into the bay to swim with the Tahitian extras working on the movie. Often we only did two or three shots a day which left me hours to enjoy their company, and I grew to love them for their love of life"

Editor "Interestingly enough, The King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley also was spell bound by Polynesia's Mana, and he considered Hawaii his home"

During the making of the film Marlon Brando fell in love with both Polynesia and to a most beautiful Tahitian actress Tarita Teriipaia who in the movie played his character's lover and who later won a Best supporting actress Golden Globe nomination. The film Mutiny on the Bounty with Brando was one of the first interracial kisses on screen and became an American classic. Marlon and Tarita were married and became a couple of good and hard fates.

Being a man who greatly enjoyed his peace and privacy, Marlon Brando settled down and made a private life founding a deep relationship with Polynesian community, obtaining a special terms lease by the local Polynesian authorities for development plans. A luxury Hotel was constructed by Brando and family and were eventually responsible for implementing environmentally safe energy in that area. Teihotu Brando (the son) who inherited his father's features has helped keep up management of the property. Eastern Polynesians of Tetiaroa still honor his name and maintain the atoll region. Elite actors and Libertarians such as President of the United States Barack Obama have too found themselves in Tetiaroa.

The Tale of Money

The Tale of Money

Long long ago, in a kingdom in the East, was the kingdom of Choo. The kingdom was rich, with other Southeastern Kingdoms. The Choo kingdom was rich not just in special metals, but with artisans, architects, writers, musicians, farmers, merchants, and markets. The kingdom of Choo made clothes, weapons, wines, makeup, shoes, furniture, giving the people the title of "The Gods".

The lands of Gods then sold these creations and inventions all around the world, touching one day to the west dessert people for other more valued materials. Eastern Choo and Southeastern revered traders then expanded, building with the strong dessert gold people, and the giant dark diamond people.

East and Southeast kingdoms had a connected history of trade and wealth, which looked to one day include new western peoples. The international merchants of the time, traded or bartered for goods, but mainly used raw metals of silver and gold to buy goods. Other raw materials of international worth were jade, and ivory. Raw materials were worth more in some areas, and less in others, but was the only thing that could be traded across borders. That was the way of the lands for hundreds of years.

Honorable battle and War in the East and Southeastern lands was as common as trade, to many kingdoms and clans of the East and Southeast, an Art form. One day honorable battle between great neighboring clans and the nation of Choo escalated. The Imperial monks of Choo made a plan to gain more riches and trade in defense. The new Imperial plan was to help with their Wars in the north with the Great Kan clans, and to acquire wealth from a new western kingdom by the name of Tu. The kingdom of Tu had grown fat and rich from trades coming from Choo and other eastern Kan clans, so the kingdom of Choo sent royal ambassadors to discuss formal links.

The Kingdom of Tu was honored, who wished to cooperate with the Kingdom of Choo as the east were revered for their ideas and wealth. The first part of the Imperial plan from Choo involved a marriage between one family member, a prince, who's Imperial company traveled with him, and would help him rule the Kingdom of Tu for the future. It was then done, and the kingdoms were connected with royal ties and the Tu princess fell in love with the prince. During the reign of the new King of Tu, the second part of the Choo Imperial money plan took place, replacing true metal coins, with promise paper notes, printed from Choo Imperial treasury. The kingdom of Choo grew richer and richer, buying materials with promise notes, and collecting the real riches in treasury safe locations.

All new and existing Royal kingdoms run by noble families who witnessed the Imperial paper promise plan, then followed, changing currency methods of their citizens. The Tu Kingdom also became richer, as the wealth went to the personal royal family treasury, giving the Royals and Nobles enormous power. The Tu Kingdom then split later from the Choo Imperial plan, and the Tu King, once a prince of Choo, waved goodbye as he took the Tu kingdom to new heights. The Kingdom of Tu then made their own Imperial companies, Treasury plans, and Imperial money plans.

Sekilini Lea'ena and her favorite school lunch - TMBW (kids short stories)

Sekilini Lea'ena sits in class at school with her favorite lunch waiting for the bell. Her friends call her Seki for short. She can not wait to head over to her favorite lunch table and enjoy all her favorite foods with her favorite friends. Volleyball is Seki's favorite sport, where she is team Captain, and she runs track during the off-seasons so eating well is very important for her future as an athlete.

The lunch consists of 2 tuna fish sandwiches, pineapple slices, fried rice with egg, stringed beef, onion, and green pepper bits, 2 cuts of Yams, and a dish of cooked Kapa pulu. Sekilini has very particular needs and her lunch is particular to her special island cravings. Her lunch shows she is very loved, it's different from many at her school but is made by someone who understands her.

The 2 tuna sandwiches are cut with care which is her favorite main lunch course. The crust is peeled off and divided in 4 equal squares and then fold wrapped in saran wrap. The total of equal cut squares from the 2 tuna sandwiches are 8 perfect mini lunch sandwiches. Inside the tuna sandwiches are bits of fresh celery, red onion, relish, and red pepper mixed with mayo dressing.

Her favorite first side is the island pineapple slices which she eats right after the main course. The slices are first cut in large circles then divided twice. It's cut once in half and then once again. 1 large circle slice makes 4 triangular slices. The total of equal slices in the lunch box of pineapple are 8 triangular slices.

The Pineapple slices are also always left with the outer skin layer on since it makes Sekilini feel the fruit is fresh and protected from bruising. The island pineapple slices are of course fold wrapped in saran wrap to keep fresh until lunch.

The Rice dish is her favorite second side after the first and main course dishes. It's wrapped also but formed first in a halved coconut husk shape. The tunnel dome shape reminds her of the top of a single room Fale.

It's prepared in that way to sit just right in Sekilini's lunch tray. Sekilini always likes taking the first dip and breaking the form up. The 2 cuts of Yams which were wrapped separate and cushioned in next to the rice dish inside the lunch bag, are always eaten along with the rice dish. The flavor of the stringed beef, egg, onion, and green pepper bits fried in the rice always sat well going down with the Yams. The Yam cuts are her favorite food to eat with her rice dish.

The Kapa pulu has it's own sealed container, picked out just for Little Seki. The container is bright baby blue with Moana island flower designs and shaped like a complete round clam shell. Her makeup container at home functions in the same way and is also shaped in much the same sleek fashion with a twist off top. Kapa pulu is her favorite dish in it's own container outside of the side dishes and eaten after the main course and after the first and second side. The greens of the Kapa pulu is cooked slowly in coconut milk, mixed with corned beef, and diced red and white onions.

Sekilini Lea'ena is reminded daily that the one who made her lunch loves her very much, which is her mother, and that makes lunch time for Seki the best part of the school day.

The End.

Smart Smart Kavika needs experience

Eleven and a half year old Kavika had a very small turtle he loved very much, and always tried to do the best for . This year was his second year to be taking care of him, only the past few months had he been doing it on his own.

His father who found the turtle, almost being hit on the road, helped a great deal in the care of the turtle, but was busy with work lately. Kavika thought he would today learn as much as possible about the species of his turtle, to better take care of him like his father does.

Kavika that day turned on his PC and researched online all different kinds of sites, he read, and read, and read, all through fact and advice sites, along with some animal articles on what works for this type of turtle.

After he was confident he had sufficient information, he took the turtle out of his normal resting area, he taped up a box, made air holes, went to the backyard, dug up some dirt, he then put the soil in the box, wet it, put the turtle in and then added some greenery for snack. The box was then put in a very shaded area inside his book shelf.

His brother saw him the next day, but hadn't seen Kavika take the turtle for some daylight and play in the little wet areas in the back of the property like always, so Ione found Kavika and asked

"Hey Kavika, wheres your turtle you love so much taking care of..?"

Kavika said "He's ok, I put him in a box with some wet soil, and then put the box in a dark shaded area in the book shelf."

Ione asked "Why did you do that?"

Kavika said "I read online that this way is more than reasonable, and that his needs are being well met."

Ione sighed, then walked closer over to Kavika and shook his head. Ione then flicked Kavika's ear and smiled and looked him hard in the eyes and said "Don't believe everything you read Kavika without trying to understand the whole picture. It's true you can do that, but some of that quick information you read has not one good reference, and it's editable, they just want you to stroll over their sites. Now go get that turtle and let him stay out here with you in this great wonderful weather. It's a turtle Kavika, born from a long long line of turtles, he's born for the outside."

Kavika did just that, and played outside in the back property until the afternoon came, then brought his little turtle friend back inside to rest. Kavika then got a very large hard aluminum tray as big as a soda cooler but wider, put soil in it, and created a wet and dry area just like the little area of the back property where turtle stayed most and played with him. The tray had a large open space on one end at the top for turtle to breath the open air, and had 2/3rds of the top covered to provide a shaded area at all times.

Kavika thought more about what happened, or what could of happened once he was inside of his room back at his desk. He was happy his brother had helped but wondered why his older brother Ione was always so smart for?

Kavika thought ok well I'm great at researching, but I seem to be missing something. He then had an idea to research some history of his family and culture, maybe that would give better clues on where Ione's intellectualism came from he thought.

Kavika got online and read and read and read, this time trying to avoid fact sites with quick information, and read into some late 19th century pacific island research.

When he was confident enough, and had some clues from his notes, Kavika left his room and walked over to his brother's door and knocked. Ione at the time was designing a sculpture work and looking over Polynesian Fine Bone carving designs.

Ione stopped at the knocking and opened the door. Ione looked down and saw Kavika with this funny expression on his face.

Kavika then asked "Are you smart because you come from a long line of raft builders? " Ione was then the one with the strange look on his face and asked"

Ione asked "What have you been reading this time Kavika? "

Kavika said "I just read that in our history there are generations of raft builders and makers, and they at times drifted in direct ways toward island out lands. Achievements of theirs seems open to interpretation"

Ione sighed, and then flicked Kavika's ear, he looked Kavika hard into the eyes, bent down and knelt and said " History has been written by all types of people. You can read history but without experience you won't be able to decipher events until you learn about many other influences such as Politics and Business, and how they connect at times to education.

Ione then tried to give Kavika an example. Ione said " You know that salesman that came around for almost a month trying to get people to buy into his company's catalog?"

Kavika nodded and said " yes "

Ione then said "Well you heard how he pitched his products right? The products are the best buy according to him, and have been tested against other inferior products. Then he went into the history, read out facts, and even gave testimonies from other small businesses and customers that assured us his products were the best. Well, Dad thought he'd try and order a leaf blower from the catalog and that leaf blower is now today sitting back in it's box getting ready to be returned. Dad found something better and also the leaf blower he bought from the salesman has some fan problems. "

Ione then sighed at Kavika and said "That's business though, the company created facts, supplied educated information for the salesman to give customers like Dad..do you understand Kavika? There are some things you have to see from various angles, history is one of them, some good common sense helps though. You're going about this the right way, you just lack some experience bro. Experience comes gradual so don't push it too hard"

Kavika smiled and said "Thanks bro, ya... I understand now, so it's experience that I was missing"

While Kavika was leaving back to his room Ione said "Oh!, and by the way..our people are Navigators who built long voyage ships. It's one of mankind's greatest navigational achievements and it's not up for interpretation, the area is over 16 million square miles and is termed by many The Polynesian Triangle. Now go play little brother, and remember next time you read, you can just come and get me."

Kavika went back to his room and relaxed. He thought again at his desk that he had a great brother who really cared. Kavika then checked on his turtle and began to play with him again. The End.

The first Samoan Time traveling story with two paragraphs

A scientist from Tafuna in Eastern Samoa named Kavika, one day discovered that time travel to the past was possible by mixing Vailima beer with fallen star dust particals in a cup, and drinking it. When he downed the cup and he was swallowed into a red hole that opened under his feet. The travel knocked him out, and when he awoke, he was on an island in the Pacific Ocean 15,000 BC.

He was surrounded by 15 hot looking Polynesian women, each one 6'3 with nothing on but a tapa cloth around the waste. Kavika fell in love with them all and married them all, and never wished to return to where he came from. He became a sculptor and his wives became apprentices. The End.

Kani & The 2 wheels

Kani & The 2 Wheels
Kani woke up one morning and strolled down to his garage wanting to check the summer weather. There was nothing out of sorts but he found a funny looking 2 wheels hanging neatly on the garage wall.

He wondered what it was doing there and of course had to get it down and check it out like any kid would. It was silver and had three nice blue stripes, obviously a boys 2 wheels. After getting the 2 wheels down and over looking the colors, Kani sat on the seat and found that it was just his size. He knew the basics of it's purpose but never tried to ride before.

At just that moment a man rode by on a larger 2 wheels, he was strolling slowly down the neighborhood and listening to music.

Kani became anxious, so young and full of energy, he had to be able to ride this new thing he had just found in his garage. It seemed put there specifically for him to wake up that morning and take it for a spin. A moment after, another person came riding down the street. A woman this time in pink shoes and sported with head gear and pads.

Kani said to himself "I want to ride the 2
wheels, I have to learn this......I'm sure I can do it by myself"

Kani stood for a little while and thought about how to begin, then said out loud this time "Yes!!!!...I think I got it, I will ride this 2 wheels!!!!..Cheeeee Hoooooooo!!!!"

While Kani shouted....a very rare .... and miraculous thing happened. A spirit had actually heard Kani's echoing voice. This spirit also was not just any spirit, but one from land's oldest times. The spirit just happened to be close by. He was known in older times as "TU ANE', The Gravel", earth cousin to the great spirit TU of ground.

The Gravel spirit hadn't heard someone in so long. Not many from the time he was created had the ability to communicate with elemental spirits. The Gravel looked on to that funny thick footed boy who had just shouted so loud, and whose voice was special to him in tone. The Gravel ground had seen many a little boy ride their wheels, but not such a stubborn and oddly faced boy wanting to teach himself. This boy was so unusual to him, not only was he gifted, but never had the Gravel spirit seen a boy with such Mana.

The energy was spraying out like a floating mist, with fire like ends above his head. It was a wonder why the Gravel spirit had not noticed this Mana or the boy before this day. The Gravel had to speak to him to satisfy his own curiosity. What to say though to someone with such Mana thought the great Gravel spirit. It was obvious he was about to attempt a ride on a 2 wheels. If something is said it must be something to get his attention, that way it will trigger a response.

So the Gravel said loudly in taunt "You don't know how to ride the 2 wheels little brat, you're just going to fall off.....then I'll have to scrape your knee you fool child...give it up already...you can't do it by yourself."

Kani looked around with knees bent in attack position and said "I can do it myself !! I will teach myself...(then calmly raise up with a funny face and asked).....who are you???

The great Gravel spirit then introduced himself. The Gravel spirit told Kani of his ability to communicate with spirits, and why he had heard Kani shouting. The Gravel spirit told Kani of "other" spirits too that he might encounter with his abilities. The Gravel also told Kani of the interesting flow of Mana seeping out of him, which seemed to have been triggered recently with new activities. The Gravel spirit warned Kani that so much Mana is bound to catch attention some day.

As the discussions went on, Kani remembered what the Gravel spirit said earlier about him not being able to ride by teaching himself. Kani then asked "So about the 2 wheels thing, do you still think I can't teach myself on it?"

The Gravel spirit smiled and said in jest "I think you can try, but in the end, you'll end up on the ground where I'll be scrapping you".

Kani said smiling "When I'm done...I will ride the 2 wheels on your face...all day..everyday until I'm tired."

The Gravel laughed so greatly he shook the ground until a car alarm in a far away parking lot went off because the boy was not close to being a man, but talked so large. The boy's words made the gravel happy, it had been a while since he was curious enough to speak so long, and then to hear heart filled words was a blessing.

The Gravel then said to the boy to test his courage "Ok child...ride your 2 wheel....but each time you fall I will have to scrape your knees, and you might bleed...be prepared fool little child."

The boy dismissed the warning and got on his 2 wheels. At first he could not even sit on the 2 wheels without falling. Each time his weight shifted off balance and he fell , and the Gravel came to scrape him slightly.

The great Sun then came out from his nap behind a few clouds, and was sure he had heard the voice of the gravel spirit. The great Sun looked hard for where the discussion was taking place and found the gravel spirit fully exposing himself on a small neighborhood street. The Sun sat watching this boy who had an obvious strong spirit talking to the gravel. When the Sun looked closer they were in the middle of fighting. The two were yelling back and fourth so the Sun just sat and watched for a time. The Sun summarized the boy was trying to learn the 2 wheels on his own. The Sun then took a chance at speaking through the arguments and said "Hey restless child...don't you know the gravel will scrape you?"

The Gravel spirit laughed and shouted up saying
"He will not listen, he wants to master the 2 wheels by himself!!!"
Kani then looked up in amazement as he heard the Sun speak with no mouth, and face to speak with either, but Kani could hear the Sun clearly in a deep an noble voice.

The Sun then warned Kani saying "Fool child...I'm about to heat this place up, when you fall and the gravel spirit scrapes you, it will also burn you... why not just ask someone to help you?"

Kani who was used to sticking up for himself said "I will ride this 2 wheels, and the Gravel spirit will then stop saying I can't. Thank you Mr. Sun for your concern, but I can do this...no one is around to help me, some in my life have passed on from this place. I have to learn things on my own."

Kani then went back to concentrating on the 2 wheels while the twp spirits were talking about Kani and his abilities, and how this 2 wheels learning had started.

Kani tried hard all during the day to ride his new 2 wheels, and inch by inch he was able to increase his coordination. Kani thought if he could just learn balance first then the riding will come more easy to him. He steadied the two wheels and balanced in place for awhile, only pushing forward very slowly. The driveway gave a good place to learn balance as he rolled downward. His balance improved but each time he fell, the Gravel scraped him. After awhile the Gravel spirit said "Quit already...I don't want to scrape you, but Iam after all the gravel."

Kani just said "No, I'll do it again....no worries, do what you're made to do, I forgive you."

Finally close to the evening when the Sun was getting ready to set, the Sun
looked over and said to the boy "I admire you restless boy, you will be a great man one day. I will see you again tomorrow when you ride your 2 wheels on the gravel". The Sun was already confident that Kani would succeed, and had wished him well in advance.

The boy looked up squinting his eyes and grinning at the Sun. It surely had been a long day and he was tired. He took one long breath before his next attempt. He hadn't much tolerance left to really fall again. In a final attempt to ride the 2 wheels he stood it up and ran with it, jumped on and balanced his way into a cruise. While Kani held his balance he began to pedal slowly, then on into a stride. The silver blue striped 2 wheels pushed forward very steadily and there was no trouble in balancing. Kani was riding. After a few hours of hard work he was able to ride like the people he had seen earlier that day. He stayed on a gradual down hill, and then turned easy on the street corner to a gradual up hill. Kani stopped with ease and started again at the neighborhood stop sign. The ride home was fast and windy, and well worth the effort he had put into learning the 2 wheels.

The Ancient Gravel said nothing and watched the kid ride his 2 wheels all the way around the block until Kani stopped back in front of his house. Taking in deep breathes from his ride, Kani looked back at where he had just ridden.

Kani looked at the great Gravel spirit, then up at the Sun spirit, then back to the Gravel spirit and said "Well how you like that gravel....oh yaaaaaaaa.....that was sooooooo fun." Then smiled wide at his Gravel Spirit friend.

The Gravel Spirit said " You did great boy!!!! You will be a pretty great man some day. You have a strong heart and I respect you for having no fear to learn on your own. Many have given up at my scrapings, but this small lesson will help shape you. The Mana around you is true."

Kani smiled and gave out a "CHEEEEEEEEEE HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" which was heard across the neighborhood, and with that, went inside to rest.

The next morning the Sun glanced over again at the same spot, and this time he saw Kani riding his 2 wheels like Kani said he would. Kani's Mana was much larger after the accomplishment and able to be felt by even the Great Sun . The Great Sun shine bright for him, proud of him, and kept the skies clean for his new determined friend. The End.

Da boys of Samoa & Tonga

In a suburb with growing business centers and newly built neighborhoods, far away in the mainland, a Samoan American boy lived. He was in his early teens, toned, focused, and into flirting with the girls.

He was a busy person from day to day, staying with the weights after school keeping fit for his sports activities. He spent nights working on his arts and crafts inside his bedroom and loved to jam to his music. It was to be his freshman year in High school that year, and he was ready to meet some new challenges. This year was to be something of a big deal since this was the "first" year.

At that very same time, on the other side of the district, another Pacific island boy had just moved into the neighborhood. His family just came from a busy city, a good distance drive from the new suburb.

The father received work about 2 months ago in the area, and the family settled quickly buying a nice new home. The new Tongan kid was a very happy person and easy going, pretty large in height and had a very full head of hair, showing off a cultural trend. He was into gaming and great at clowning, which he made use of on his many sisters. He was also thinking that this year was something of an important time, and thought about what might come his way in the new school year.

It all happened one Monday when the young Tongan boy was in his second period class. He sat down like he always did in his spot in the back. He was doodling on his books, thinking about what the class was going to be about and if he did his homework.

Right then he heard some kids playing around in the middle of the room. He looked over in the center and saw a new guy playing around who had just had correction in his class schedule. The new guy was talking and talking with a big grin on his face to another kid, while he winked at a girl in the front of the classroom. At first the kid was just noticed cause he was playing around, but at a better look, it looked like another Poly.

The Tongan kid was becoming more interested in where this new guy came from and started skooting his chair, and making some noise himself just trying to get a good look at him. The Tongan kid was concentrating, staring closely at the kid's features, seeing if he was Pacifican. He saw some sharp teeth inside that grin, some Taro legs, thick smooth wavy hair, and some island eyes.

He was definitely from the Pacific islands, but from where. It was possible he was either Tongan, Samoan, or Maori with all that meat muscle on him. At the end of the class the Tongan guy walked up to the one he was curious about and asked

"Hey you...um....are you Polynesian?"
The Samoan kid said "I think so...let me check,.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yeppers..... I'm Samoan! ", and then just grinned for a second.

The Samoan kid was being very active at the time so the question wasn't totally taken in, the thought of the possibility that the one who was asking was also a Polynesian, didn't yet trigger. The Samoan boy then stopped.....and looked harder at the questioner. The Samoan kid then noticed that the guy in front of him was very island looking.

The Tongan guy of course wanted to punch him a little after that for his messing around too much, but decided not too because the bell rang and the Samoan kid directly said "Hey, lets go eat...you hungry man?" smiled and then asked "Hey, where you from bro?"

The Tongan guy said..."I'm Tongan, nice to meet you bro" he just realized, that he was in fact hungry, and that's why he was a bit moody.

He had not eaten at home before school that morning and was really more hungry than he thought. He was ready to grub in full force in the school lunch room as was his new Samoan pal. When they got to the lunch area, it was sure crowded like always. The Samoan guy looked around for a place to sit and chose the very center of the lunch room. The Tongan guy had sat in a different area of the lunch room before that but went ahead and went with the flow.

They sat their stuff down and went to the lunch line where they both noticed they were choosing a whole lot of pizza. They both had at least 8 large square cuts of the lunch pizza. At check out they looked at each others plates and gave a "a ready to grub" grin, both with some crazy islander cannibal eyes. The boys then dug in as soon as they sat at the table. Stuffing their faces, they started laughing but kept eating at the same time. Grubbin away, the Tongan kid stuffed a whole half slice of pizza down, but almost choked, when he looked around he laughed at the other kids who were watching them both. The Samoan guy then ripped a pizza in half to join his choking friend and then grinned with his stuffed mouth. After a small eating match in pizza they talked a bit, laughing and clowning on about the mess.

From then on the young Samoan and Tongan guy were best friends. The young Tongan guy then realized that the Samoan guy was always messing around, and that his response earlier was his normal attitude, much like himself.

The school year was going by fast with fun and friends, and the guys were ready for the spring season. Much had happened during the fall semester, with testing and studies. During that time they found they were so similar in attitude, nature, and strength, so the Samoan and Tongan boys just went ahead and started calling each other cousins, even people would ask sometimes if they were apart "Hey, wheres your cousin at?"

They lifted a lot of weights together after school, which brought the Samoan guy more understanding into his own natural abilities. The Samoan guy before this was used to out lifting his peers since early Jr. High, and held the record for leg lifting at his old school gym. The Tongan kid could leg lift too though, and had huge legs that he told the Samoan guy were his "Taro legs".

The Tongan guy said "You have them too bro, we all call them Taro Legs." When the Samoan guy was told that, he understood his leg strength had a history behind it. The Samoan guy taught his friend some tone techniques and they worked on a routine together to finish out the year with some results.

In return the Tongan kid taught the Samoan guy some things in Polynesian social behavior. He showed him some of the island humor and introduced him to the greatness of Reggae music and the "No worries" attitude.

One day they started talking about some personal stuff that was brought on by the whole island music teaching. Turns out the Samoan guy was raised slightly different than the Tongan guy. He had met even less Polynesians than the young Tongan boy, with little or no access to other island daily customs. So the Tongan guy decided to help his friend on traditional Polynesian manners. It was a good lesson and he did in the long run help his new friend and addressed the flirting tendencies.

Even with some missing daily traditions , the Samoan guy was very versed in traditional Polynesian Arts and craft, and a student of it's history. After some weight lifting one day they headed to the Samoan guys house for some grub, and the Tongan kid saw the Samoan guy's cultural studies framed on the house walls. The Tongan friend was impressed, and really wanted a traditional Tatau when he saw his friend had those ancient skills in him. The Tongan guy got him a sketch for a future Tatau that day from his friend, and also the Samoan guy inked his arm in detail so he could see what it would look like if it was permanent.

The two boys had bettered each other just with in a few months of their meeting, both accepting that they had a lot of room to grow.

For almost a month they just kicked it outside the Tongan kid's house where a new island neighbor with a large family always barbecued and played island jams. That school year time was hella good so far, and they like everyone else, were on their way to more good things.

One day though the Mana in the morning felt all off for everyone. Everyone seemed to be in a bad mood, and there was what seemed to be bad luck just happening all during early morning traffic and school breakfast times.

In any case school went on that day and the Samoan guy saw his Tongan friend at the first period class door talking to a girl, who looked like he was interested in. The bell rang, and the Samoan guy just laughed at the Tongan guy, and goofed at him. They went in the class and took their seats getting ready for the study review.

At that moment right before the teacher closed the door, some bad bad boys came around who usually skipped pushing the door open like they owned it. The teacher just let them in and didn't say anything about the pushing, then closed the door and started lessons. The Tongan guy had known some bad boys from his old neighborhood long ago before they moved to their new house. He told the Samoan friend in a whisper to watch those guys, maybe no good. The leader of the boys looking all mean, smirking in the wrong way took his seat and payed no attention to the teacher's lessons. At about the middle of the class period someone knocked at the door and the teacher answered, it sounded important so she said to keep reading and she'd be back soon.

The leader of the bad boys just couldn't wait to start trouble, and took his chance as soon as the teacher shut the door behind her. The guy started making fun of people, and the girl that the Tongan friend was talking to earlier at the start of the class, was trying to avoid being targeted.

She attempted to read like some of the other kids and ignore the bullys. The Samoan guy quickly fake coughed to get the attention, and then looked at the leader guy ugly before he got his chance to make fun the girl. The Tongan guy did the same only he tapped his pen very loudly and then grinned.

The Tongan guy then said very loudly in a clownish way, "You guys sure do talk a lot man......why you guys talk so much?".. the Samoan guy then said " You smell something man? Smells bad bro..something funky must be in the classroom." everyone in the class laughed since the bad boys could not reply and just sat angry in their seats since they had heard of the Tongan and Samoan guys as being very strong, it was more of a punk and everyone was just glad the bad guys didn't try and mess with people after that.

The leader just gave a look and turned back around in his seat when he heard the door open up and then said "Whateva, watch ya back man." The teacher not knowing what was going on, but heard the last words, asked the class but no one said anything. Class studies continued with snickers and ugly looks being exchanged from time to time between the leader and his friends, and the two Polynesian boys, but for the most part, it was thought to have been just an exchange of words.

It wasn't thought about again by the Samoan and Tongan guys after class had finished, since exchanging a few ugly looks never amounted to anything. They both went to separate classes, and were to meet up again during lunch before a gym class together.

The Tongan kid had brought some ps2 game cheats that day, and wanted to share his codes with his Samoan friend, who were both working on the same game, wanting to do an online match. So the Tongan guy left after class faster than usual, and headed to the lunch area. At lunch time break, both friends came walking down the lunch halls, one each from opposite ends of the halls.

The Tongan kid noticed people seemed to be walking around some things scattered on the floor, which was right in front of the hallway intersections. It didn't seem like a big deal until he saw his Samoan friend up closer, and with his locker was broken into. The Samoan kids gym cloths had been scattered under the bent door.

His books were being kicked around, and pictures were ripped, flung far out into the next hall area. The Samoan guy was mad, he picked his things up slowly, while thinking about the guys in the classroom who had started the fight earlier.

The Tongan friend started yelling at all the people in the hall, asking who did it. He finally got one guy up by the shirt who was walking down the hallway, and who he had seen talk to the bad boys before. He took him tighter by the shirt and asked if it was those trouble makers from class who broke his friend's locker. The Tongan guy didn't have to rough him up, the guy wanted to run from the Tongan and Samoan boys who both had ugly, hungry, and angry looks.

The Tongan guy said to his Samoan friend "well they're in the the lunch room, that kid who hangs out with them said, they're saying they'll be out after school"

That day during school, everyone knew what happened with the locker by the end of the day, and knew the boys from the class as trouble. Mostly it was rumored around during lunch times of what was going on.

After school, the crowd of High School kids gathered across the street. It seemed like the entire school was there just to finally see some trouble people get what they deserved.

The bad boys who showed up a little late, brought extra friends to the little High School after school gathering. A total of nine guys including the bad boy leader himself showed up. The new extra guys had been picked up from another school, one had a brother in with the guys who messed around in class earlier that day with the Tongan and Samoan boys.

Seemed more and more people started gathering, and with the kids, some school staff members attempted to observe the crowds from across the street, trying to pinpoint the causes.

The Tongan kid put up his hair and got ready to fight, he hadn't though been in such a large after school fight before. There was so many in number on the bad kid's side, and on top of that, a large crowd. He had seen people fight where he grew up, but thought this after school show attracted a bit too many people.

He started wondering what his friend the Samoan guy would do, since he was from another area. The Samoan guy was cool, biting his finder nails and starring off into space, irritated about his locker but pretty layed back. Right then, when the Tongan kiddo who was in the middle of thinking,....
the Samoan kid started to yell, being more irritated it was all taking so long, and after reviewing the circumstances again, for which he blamed on them and their antics.

The Samoan guy said "Come on!!!...there's only two of us...what the hell you waitin for...get it on already..."

The numbers were enough to be cautious for the bad guys , they had never seen two people against nine people in a fight. They also didn't know what to taunt them with, word wise. They had never gone up against Samoan and Tongan boys.

The student crowd was waiting and just new it most likely was another High school stare contest. The boys on the others side of the islander boys were looking at each other, getting stared down on who would back up all their big bad talk during the entire school semester. They got mad at each other first and then pushed the guy up in front who had broken the locker in the first place.

The guy who had started it all in the class room wasn't apparently the one who broke the locker but did help in instigating his friend into doing it. The guy who messed up the Samoan guy's locker then came at the Tongan guy instead, going for his right side, opposite side where the Samoan guy was standing. The Tongan guy being taller, lifted his head to avoid the punch. In a quick defense, the Tongan guy right stepped, widening his stance, and then right handed bear swiped the guy across face and shoulder in one powerful swoop.

With one open hand the Tongan guy made him do a full half spin. The Samoan being very toned and very fast, stepped quickly in and punched the same guy 4 times before he even fell to the ground. The Samoan guy gave two quick left jabs next to the back neck, one right hand in the lower back, and then again with a final left in the side. The Samoan guy ended it with a left kick, pushing him to the ground face first, with both Polynesian boys standing over him.

It would seem the two new friends were a match in fighting like everything else they had seen during the school year, and from that moment in the fight, they knew this fight would be a bit one sided. The bad boys attacked with less confidence after their friend was crawling back to them, and the fight was over with in about 5 min.

The Tongan kid took on three shoving and kicking them like paper in the wind, while the Samoan guy took on three, with the other boys unable to keep up with his punches. The remaining guys, including the one who had started the mess in the class room, never even joined. He just hopped around pushing others and very soon after, the bad boys spread out as if someone was coming to arrest them... but no one came.

Neither of the island boys really said anything afterward, just looked around at the people starring at what just happened. Two guys against nine, with the larger party running away. The Samoan guy was already looking at a girl in the crowd, while the Tongan guy just shaking his head, but smiling because of the funny situation they had just been in.

The two island boys were from then on, party centers at High school get togethers, and made a lot of new friends that year. They also had many more comparisons to make with each other. It was a good year even though the Principal & Staff labeled the Samoan guy, and the Tongan guy as bad boy members from then on. The staff had also never heard of two boys against nine, and thought they must have been from another trouble area. Even with the confused label by school staff, Da two young boys of Samoa and Tonga came out with Mana! The End.

◘ Health Interests

#1 tip Trust in Medical help has lowered since year 2000, especially when it comes to Cancer Treatments. Promises unkept for cures and breakthroughs in new research never applied, or with poor results, for over 40 years has raised skepticism. Following the most advanced tech nations instead of relying on easy access convenient hospitalization has been recommended for those looking for better medical help.

#1 tipA Community report says to "Beware of TAP WATER" [Tap Water can be Dangerous]. Outside the island, there are industrialized cities with real toxic issues. On the surface the City may have great rides, food, highways, and parks, but have under it all "toxic or environmental health issues" due to old Landfills and Water Infrastructure being ignored. If an area has a waste smell, the ground nearby could be a covered over Landfill where a town has expanded, buried the old one, and moved to a new location. Buying clean bottled water is an important choice, and will save a person's health.
◘ Community Interests

#1 tipPacific Islander American Community report on "Banking Overdraft Schemes" which resequence transactions on lower income accounts to make the accounts overdraft. In the Banking Scheme, transactions are being posted in an order that benefits the banking fees, and costing the customer possibly hundreds of dollars. The Banking Overdraft Schemes have been reported to still be attempted. Keep your money in a trusted Bank. Do not just sign up to any bank.

#1 tip Check out your local Library for community events. Also a Library can subscribe to Polynesian Newspapers and Magazines so that you and your kids can read them. Organizing a way to have books and media content (movies and news) able for your community to check out is important. Organize your local Library on how to get things started. Classes in public school are also being asked by local community for more Pacific languages and culture to be taught.
