War within Europe late mid-1800s-1870s
During the German invasion of Paris in 1871, German expansion in both Europe and overseas in the Asia Pacific was campaigned against by the British Crown. The German Crown claimed the seat and title of "Emperor" on January of 1871 and secured a title that no army under any European King or Queen within Europee could contest. In 1899, the Tripartite Treaty was signed and stated that Britain must stand down from Alliance with the Apia Samoans and that Germany be the only Crown under friendship in Western Samoa.

Samoan Historian "The term German-Samoa is an insult to educated Samoans, because it also has to do greatly with the League of Nations Treaty of Versailles Article (232) thats states all German territories must become property of the League of Nations after the first World War. naming Western Samoa as a Territory and stripping its status as Trust region is what New Zealand uses as proof of administration, even if they had no influence over the actual Samoan Governemnt and sparked more Socialist movements that then spread into northing New Zealand"
Only media campaigns through News outlets and personal favors from Loyalist Brit-NZers and allied British Polynesians with trade connections, at that point in time, could British oppose Germany in the Pacific. The Samoan King Tui A'ana Tupua Tamasese Titimaea had in the past been targeted by British Media as a "German tool", to seed mistrust within the Samoan-German Alliances. The Samoans allied to Britain at Apia (early campaigns of Socialists who eventually became The Mau Party), and the Samoans allied to the USA all began using or allowing terms like 'German Samoa' in media to trigger-out negative responses.
