Are Polynesians Black people?

ANSWER: The racial label "Black People" is mostly used by North Americans, Spanish, Italians, French, and British (A western European label). Black is not an actual people or traditional culture and Polynesians have no involvement in its continued use as a racial indicator. The ethnic questions of "Are Polynesians part black" came to be from the usual small-town, untraveled people, who are uneducated in the wide range diversity and Geography of Greater South, Southeast, and East Asia who in their mind picture all Asians as short, brown or yellow, small, and squinted.

The regions of India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle-east are considered Asian who also have dark skin-tones. Polynesians are considered a Mongolic breed of Austronesian, or an Indo-Mongolic, having links to Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia and East Asia. Most foreigners to the region completely over-look the Malayo-Polynesians in Indonesia being just west of Samoa with a population of over 290 million people. The Malay-Indonesian islands alone are equal in population to the United States. Put together with Polynesia, the Philippines, the Malayo-Polynesian Pacific Islanders population out numbers Canada, Australia, and the United States combined.
  • Indonesia Pacific Islander Population: 290-300 Million
  • Micronesia Pacific Islander Population: 200,000 thousand
  • Polynesian Pacific Islander Population 1,500,000 Million (as of 2020)
  • Malaysia Population: 30.9 Million
  • Thailand Population: 78-100 Million
  • Cambodia Population: 16-25 Million
  • South China Population: 200-500 Million
  • Philippines Population: 104-120 Million
  • Laos Population: 10 Million
  • Myanmar Population: 51.4-65 Million
  • Vietnam Population: 100-105 Million

Public Comments about the Topic
"The Malay-Polynesians are the Indonesians (Malayunesians). They are the same as the Polynesians, Filipinos, Micronesians, Laos, Thais, Cambodians, Maori, Samoans, and Southern Chinese. The Malayo-Polynesian Austronesians are the oldest in Asia. That makes them the first Asians of Southeast Asia and East Asia and the founders of Northeast Asia and Central Asia"

"Its funny to be US. American all you have to do is be a citizen. Melanesians have been in the Asia Pacific for thousands of years so are they just never going to be considered Asian Pacifican over their skin-tone?"

"Blacks who call anyone who looks like them, black as well, may use it to gang up on people, and white people too, some use Colonial History to gang up on any foreigner including blacks. Very countrified and very childish. By misleading your own identity you lose your own culture. Many western Scottish who say they're white can't recite a single Scottish custom. The same is true for African Americans who claim to be black are usually not at all in tune with actual African traditions"

"Polynesians are an ocean fairing people 3000 years in the Asia-Polynesia pacific stop already with the nonsense"

"This is not a good way to keep good relations with Polynesians. Racism in the West is so bad that the African Americans, Mexicans, and Whites, just recruit anyone they think is their ethnicity"

Melanesians and Western Black people
The area Melanesia which includes Fiji are not "Black" people either. Melanesia is as far from African as one can get on the planet. Genetically the Melanesians are another people of Asian-Pacific Islander, being that they've been settled in the Asia Pacific for over 35,000 years and have a very unique genetic make-up. The Genetic Data on Melanesia with a great many other genetic studies of Melanesian Blonde Hair, has more than confirmed simple time tables in the Asia Pacific, showing rampant sea voyaging before European encounters. The Fijian people have a complicated Polynesian-Melanesian History (the crossroads of Melanesia and Polynesia) and are a proud culture that do not like their history mixed with foreign politics.

◘ Health Interests

#1 tip Trust in Medical help has lowered since year 2000, especially when it comes to Cancer Treatments. Promises unkept for cures and breakthroughs in new research never applied, or with poor results, for over 40 years has raised skepticism. Following the most advanced tech nations instead of relying on easy access convenient hospitalization has been recommended for those looking for better medical help.

#1 tipA Community report says to "Beware of TAP WATER" [Tap Water can be Dangerous]. Outside the island, there are industrialized cities with real toxic issues. On the surface the City may have great rides, food, highways, and parks, but have under it all "toxic or environmental health issues" due to old Landfills and Water Infrastructure being ignored. If an area has a waste smell, the ground nearby could be a covered over Landfill where a town has expanded, buried the old one, and moved to a new location. Buying clean bottled water is an important choice, and will save a person's health.
◘ Community Interests

#1 tipPacific Islander American Community report on "Banking Overdraft Schemes" which resequence transactions on lower income accounts to make the accounts overdraft. In the Banking Scheme, transactions are being posted in an order that benefits the banking fees, and costing the customer possibly hundreds of dollars. The Banking Overdraft Schemes have been reported to still be attempted. Keep your money in a trusted Bank. Do not just sign up to any bank.

#1 tip Check out your local Library for community events. Also a Library can subscribe to Polynesian Newspapers and Magazines so that you and your kids can read them. Organizing a way to have books and media content (movies and news) able for your community to check out is important. Organize your local Library on how to get things started. Classes in public school are also being asked by local community for more Pacific languages and culture to be taught.
