ANSWER: The history behind where mount Olympus was located vaguely hints the real area, but following the trade and politics into southern Greece and it's royal affiliations in Athens, shows overseas allegiances. In order to get to Mt. Olympus in mythology a common man could not reach the Gods citadel and no amount of physical travel allowed access. Only by the grace of a God was a common man able to enter Olympus. The mountain part of Mt. Olympus seems to be a bit of interpretation originally referring to "High House of the Gods". Today there is an actual mountain graphed as Mt. Olympus but with "no God-like buildings" on its summit and can not be the source of the old Greek myths.

The ancient runic City of Carthage is what historians believe to be the "High House of Greek Gods" or simply a capitpl over a considerable amount of Mediterranean trade and resources. The Carthage Kings and Queens were "extended family houses" of Egyptian Dynasties, which then again extended across to Greek-Egyptian governing houses in Athens, which gives off the myths of "Demi-Gods" in Greece.
