ANSWERS: Yes, there is a video on Spain History, a pretty good one in fact. The video is only wrong when it comes to the Spanish American and Central American History.
Historian "This video is wrong when it comes to South American native History. The map it uses is so wrong, planting flags on empty dirt and then marking it on paper does not mean you own it. There are no legal Treaties signed, no documentation of any kind. The Imperial Spanish are only traders really in the Americas. The Native South Americans themselves were at war with each other when Spain arrived, and that's why the church and missionaries were accepted, because the church gave shelter and free food during native wars. The church didn't conquer (laugh), it was a trading relationship, guns, women, beer, sugar, power, the natives understand it all very well."
Spain was in campaign in the Americas, but never were they able to win decisive claims against natives, even at a time when they were somewhat stable as an Imperial nation. One part of Spanish history in the Americas is the Comanche Wars in Texas, which the Imperial Spanish lost, and were pushed out of Texas and into Mexico where they stayed. The Spanish Imperials had to go around the Comanche and into California.
A need-to-know point of Spanish Imperial History is that the Catholic Religion is a separate organization and not ruled by the native Spanish. The Church is controlled by Rome. (Roman Italian Catholics invaded Spain). The Roman Italian Catholic church by itself made many Native friends in the Americas, giving AID, and teaching the Spanish language during Bible studies. Spanish language only spread with Native Central Americans with the spread of Catholicism. Even though the Spanish missionaries did all the work, the Catholic church is the source of influence and the Spanish who work for them are under the Roman Pope's Authority.
White Spanish Latins continue to hope that central Natives never find out their true history of constant homeland invasion in Europe. Centuries of rebellion and oppression, flip-flopping from one religion to another to gain leverage in politics.
