Wikipedia revised map
A map which includes Western Europe and Northern Indian areas as sub regions
New Wikipedia maps leave out Western Europe as under the Mongol Empire. The Kingdoms of Eastern and Southern Europe were at the time the strongest founded realms and were either defeated in battle or left alone after negotiating terms of tribute. The Catholics of Southern Europe who dominated the regions of Britania have a significant history with the Mongol Empire and the Silk Road. Insight and research by the Catholic merchant Marco Polo remains a popular read in the west.
The Mongol Empire has several estimates in size which vary at times, starting at 17 million square miles, hitting just over the area covered in Central Oceania of 16 million square miles which was settled and by the Moa-Austronesian peoples.
The stretch of Mongol Invasion is measured often by points of conquest, however the length of Mongol territory included the area owned by the point of conquest, which includes most of Eastern, Western, Southern, and Northern Europe, parts of the Middle East, Southern Russia, Northern India, and with areas in East and Middle Asia. Maps in some western studies leave out their own regions (western Europe) so to give an impression that they were never invaded or influenced by the Mongol Empire. The Central European areas were the strongest nations at the time in the Northwest, and the Southern Catholic nations were strongest in the Southwest. Both Central European Kingdoms and Southern Catholics Regimes ruled the farthest western areas of Europe and with their regions becoming under the Mongol Empire, so in turn did the areas and territories they presided over, and the Mongol Empire's influence touched from the Asia Pacific ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, The Indian Ocean, and Atlantic ocean.
